Multiple Collaborator Project - CHARA//A complete Wings of Fire Arctic MAP

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Hello everyone! Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it. For those who don't, here is a Wings Of Fire MAP to spice your day up! Due to the description has already reached max word amount, I have to clarify certain things here in the comments: - Due to complications during editing, the quality of this map didn't turn out as good as I imagined. My editor was extremely laggy, and I had trouble fixing some glitches while meeting the due date at the same time. So PLEASE don't comment down below just to point out those minor mistakes. Because I am aware of them, and I tried my best to minimize them as much as possible. - QuenGren helped with Cougar Coast's part in part 9, I have given them full credit in the description! - At the end of the thumbnail credits, starting from 10:03, there are 4 anonymous thumbnail entries, if you know any of the artists or if you are one of them, comment down below and I'll be sure to credit you in this comment. Arctic had it unfair, there's no doubt about it. He was born with a gift-turned-curse that his evil power-hungry mother/queen would keep him slaved for her own desires to exploit. He would be put in an arranged marriage with someone who simply satisfied his mother's tastes and not his own. He was going to live an empty life that would be decided for him, so one day he tried to run away with someone who would make him happy. But society didn't want that. The whole kingdom tried to force him back with the system. The only way to escape misery was by taking desperate measures. He used his power to help him run away at any cost, but the price was devastating. He committed a horrible action in a moment of panic and desperation that was never forgiven or explained. And just like that, a simple misunderstanding led to a war that would last for 2000 years before truly being settled. On top of that, the impact of his accident would never heal, and his soul would never be at peace. Quite a tragic story... but what would have happened if Arctic didn't leave the IceWings? What if he was still happy? What if he lived a satisfying life and never ran away? In the distant future, Pyrrhia would not be as glorious as it is. There would be two possible outcomes. Either the IceWings would one day decide and succeed to overrun the other tribes and take over the rest of the continent with their many generations of animus gifts, or the Nightwings would do the same with their many generations of trained mindreading and futureseeing powers. Arctic's actions actually kept both tribes at bay. Because of him the IceWings no longer had any animus dragons, and because of his son the NightWings no longer had any dragons with OP powers. Neither tribe ever ended up having too much power to tip the balance. Artic may have done things he regretted for himself and the world he knew, but in the long run, he saved the seven tribes of Pyrrhia. His misery was not in vain after all.

I feel like Arctic needs more attention. He went through so much, feeling the pressure of his cruel mom weighing down on him, and his tribe not letting him love who he wants. And the fact where his cousin Snowfox is so terrible to him. That’s why this forced Arctic to believe the superiority of his tribe, making him look down on Darkstalker, thinking Whiteout is strange and literally enchanted her to go back to the ice kingdom. Arctic and Foeslayer fought a lot, then he was mentally getting attacked by his mother, then he went crazy and got mind controlled by his own son, making him rip himself. Arctic had a horrible life, if only his and Foeslayer’s family had settled down, I bet they would have had a happy life, especially Darkstalker and Whiteout, and that Darkstalker could happily marry Clearsight when they were older. Arctic was mentally abused, which spread that action on his son. So he really needed comfort.

I always loved Arctic as a character, his past regrets made him a dragon who made a lot of mistakes and hurt people even tho at first he only wanted freedom. This MAP seemed as an incredible idea at first and it didn't disappoint me! I'm so happy I could be a part of this and be among us all great animators

Poor arctic. His soul was ruined not only by his curse but by his own icewing family

THIS MAP IS S P E C T U L A R Everyone put in so much effort into their parts n it's such a joy to be now able to watch them all back to back to create such great narrative. You did great job Ebony with scripting of the MAP, and the whole idea of "afterlife" with the flashbacks. Those scenes really punched one right in the feels along with the masterfully done art scenes @ start n the end, and one can't neglect to mention Storm and his help with editing the beautiful outro. Thank you so much for letting me participate, I'm incredibly honored to be a part of this project <3

God, this hit me in the feels hard Like, holy crap this is good, I love it, but there's a lot of emotion behind it. I personally really liked Arctic, despite all the stuff he did. Yeah he was kind of a terrible parent and was super defensive about stuff and definitely had some anger problems, but he did at least try, and in Darkstalker's book it did say he loved Foeslayer, which is why he left with Whiteout. I definitely say he didn't deserve that fate, though it is what it is, and y'know what, I think I could really see a situation like this MAP showed happening in whatever afterlife the dragons go to Really loved the video though, keep up the great stuff. All of you guys, not just Ebony

Sorry I'm just gonna CRIES LIKE I HAVE WATER HOSES ATTACHED TO MY FACE The end of the map was so deep, all of it was deep but especially the end.

It was a blast working on this project! A top tier wof map for sure! Legend! Thank you so much for letting me be a part if it :D

I came up with an AU inspired by this: Instead of Arctic dieing, right before he dies Darkstalker enchants him to relive his crimes for a thousand years (key word is Thousand) and to live as long as Forslayer lives (as a punishment of knowing she's alive but not knowing where she is or who she changed into) but Arctic makes it through the thousand years of watching himself go insane, he realizes what he's done and changes but he goes crazy in a different way. One day, he suddenly wakes up, he gets up and it's been a thousand years, he's confused but he's not dead nor alive. He can fly around and touch objects but he can't interact with other dragons and he can't be hurt or healed (he has a scar on his stomach and his tongue is still gone but he can talk). He flies around, looking at how much things have changed but when he gets to the Ice Kingdom, he notices a strange thing called "The Diamond Trail" be brought up, he follows 2 dragons into the cave and then he sees Foeslayer. Darkstalker, had added something on top of the first enchantment realizing that Arctic could live longer then he had orginally thought which was that if Arctic saw Foeslayer or Darkstalker, that he would lose the ability to talk around them but also only be able to interact with them (Punishment of trying to talk but it's like you have your mouth sewn shut) Foeslayer is the only one at this time who can see him and tries to interact with him but she has to fight as well. A thousand years later, Foeslayer is saved by Winter and Arctic follows them, the story goes pretty much the same here except that Arctic takes Foeslayer to the Old Night Kingdom, and shows her the damage that Darkstalker is doing (Darkstalker doesn't know they're there) This is just a brief summary but I'll add more details and explanations for it all later and also the reason why Darkstalker keeps Arctic alive is to torment him, and give him a fate worse then death but it backfires.
