Meatloaf was his own genre of unique musical style.

Rip Meat, he had such a romantic heart.
  • @RoadDoug
The man just pours his heart and soul into every performance. I was about 16 when Bat out of hell was released. There just wasn’t anything close to his genius. RIP

Meatloaf and Freddie Mercury were THE KINGS of the Rock Opera
  • @petecogan1
The composer of this was Jim Steinman. Absolutely great writer and piano player. RIP Jim and Meat

In my opinion the most beautiful description of a mans love for a woman ever put to music ! RIP Meatloaf

The female in the video is actress Dana Patrick and she lip synced the vocals. The actual vocals were sung by UK female singer Lorraine Crosby. Another big artist of producer Jim Steinman, Bonnie Tyler, was going to do the vocals but was unavailable for recording at the time, so he used the similar sounding Crosby instead.

This is one of my all time favorite songs . I used to sing it in the car with my grandparents all the time when I was a kid 😅
