As a musician, being able to listen to a convo between phenomenal musicians and singers is just so good. I could have listened for hours more. Just to throw this out there, for me it was when I took my mind off of where is the woman for me, she showed up. For some reason it seems every musician has certain things they need to explain to any female they have a relationship with but the one who doesn’t kick their eyes up like they are thinking this is trouble but instead listens, listens to everything you have to say, that’s the one because she’s the one that sees your heart and is willing to not see who you were but she sees who you are. She’s out there guys, let God bring her to you.

My husband teaches that dating is preparation for divorce. I think we have made it super complicated... there is a place where you can wait on God and let him take the reigns literally in prayer Maybe undoing your ideas of always needing someone there and also every expectation, fears etc will release you to the women that is yours. Friendship is ideal! But what was not mentioned is Prayer Prayer is very significant. You may not have to wait for things to work if God speaks 😉

Women really do value vulnerability in men and mature women know how to handle that and her response was beautiful. I loved the nuggets that he dropped concerning the importance of waiting for your person to come along and not taking on the expectations of other people because God has a plan and set time for both of you to marry. Great convo! It’s easy to overthink and want so badly not to make the wrong choice but in the end after you check most of the boxes you have to remember that you’re only getting 80% of what you want at best. Focus on the 80 and decide whether you can live with the 20% that you don’t like. The purpose of marriage for the Christian is to reflect the love Jesus has for the church, therefore it won’t always make you happy but it will make you holy if you hang in there. I think in today’s modern world, especially here in the US, we make marriage an idol. We act like singles are losers who can’t be a part of some elite club. Not true! Our purpose is to glorify God no matter what state we find ourselves in. If we keep that in mind we won’t go wrong. Also remember people change over time. It’s supposed to happen. So the one you marry at 30 is not the same person at 40. You have to be committed to the relationship and continue to honor your vow and covenant through the ups and downs of life. Wishing both of you God’s best!

You know I called Jonathan McReynolds my son and he said that being musicians we don't trust them. I find that crazy. If you have the spirit of God and the spirit of God is in the man it's the best blessing you'll ever get.
