But what shoppers might not know is that the items they buy online could have been sitting on their local store shelves for a cheaper price. Michelle Miller met the bargain shoppers who buy products just to resell them online.

This is what yang means when he says that our data is worth more than oil

Resellers love to talk about their success and invite more competition to the party.

How is this any different than flipping houses or selling used cars? It’s literally the EXACT same thing.
  • I have noticed a lot of products online (particularly on Amazon) now cost more or less the same as what you can find in the stores.

I have been a reseller for over 15 years. When I started NO ONE would discuss this business. It was all a well guarded secret. It is the reason that I could sell almost anything for great money. YouTube changed all of that. So many resellers started doing videos and telling their secrets. The market has become so saturated now that there is more money in selling the information about how to resell. Although that is also saturated now. No need to buy the info that is available for free. Everyone is a reseller now it seems. I continue to change and adapt because I love this business even though it is MUCH harder to earn a living now.

So it's more expensive online then the stores 'huh!

I see this on ebay. This is why you have to pay attention. People are selling dollar store makeup for 8 bucks lol.
  • It’s an amazing opportunity. We have been full time for a year now and won’t ever look back to the 9-5 grind.

Too bad everything on the amazon seller app, majority of the items are blacklisted.
  • @ano070602
Why not. They are doing the work to find things that others don't want to go looking for it.

While CBS is only talking about this towards the end of 2019, Gary Vee has been preaching this for years!

I've been on Ebay for over 20 years and I can say, this is really cherry-picked. It's damned hard to make money online. To make money on anything you have to get it for pennies on the dollar.
  • I've been selling on eBay and Amazon for about 4 years now and this is misleading to anyone who thinks they can do this because these guys got in the game early so they are ungated to sell these items on Amazon which is why they have so little competition and can talk about selling this stuff without worrying about flooding the market. I've watched about 20 of Reezy's videos and unsubscribed because like most people I'm not allowed to sell what he is selling on Amazon.

The dirty little secret none of these guys tell you is that the margins are so small that most barely make enough to live. They love to showcase their huge revenues and talk like they are super smart and rolling in the money but in reality most of them have like 1-2% margins if they're lucky. Then they put themselves out there as experts that can show you how to do a million in sales. It's like cotton candy, looks big and delicious but as soon as you take a bite it just melts away into almost nothing.

Awe... cute. They made their own little America using Walmart as China.

The internet is where the money is at right now, that's for damn sure.
  • @o0Avalon0o
10 years ago it was the opposite, you'd find a store item selling for cheap online.
  • Im a reseller also. 2 weeks ago i bought a 400 blu ray disk player for $15 bucks sold it for $750.
  • Lets be honest, he did not set up a youtube account with the primary interest to help other people. Its always about making money
