All of the Wardens sense besides sight work so it is able to smell you as well as hear you

Just to help you out, the reason the shrieker went off even though it was fully sourrounded, is because you used a skulk blockas one of the blocks which absorbs vibrations and sends it to any nearby skulk sensors

8:16 wardens can sniff you out. Btw wardens always know where you are after being angered until you die or it calms down

Definitely a difficult challenge to complete 🤣 With Wardens spawning every step of the way, I bet getting to the stronghold was the WORST

Not sure if you address it at one point but when breaking chests it would only be set off if the chest was next to, or on a sculk block. Otherwise full blocks or wool stop all noise and detection.

This video made me curious, so I looked up some of the Warden’s behavior. While his detection radius, be it sound or “smell” isn’t that big, he still knows where you are and will pathfind to you as long as you’re within 50 blocks of him. It actually explains how annoying he can be on some multiplayer servers. If the range at which the server loads mobs is smaller than his passive detection range, then he’ll effectively never despawn. Being close enough for the game to load him is close enough that he’ll always try to pathfind to a player instead of returning underground.

The reason it doesn't work is that the sensors work through blocks, no matter what if it's in range it'll activate and if the sensor is within range of a shrieker the shrieker activates
