☀️ Welcome! ☀️ This is a NO PLAN NEEDED, beginner friendly project for you! You don't have to do much measuring. You can use up any old scraps you like! 🙀 🧵 I really like sewing with scraps! When I made "Is Planning Ruining Your Quilting" video, I did NOT use up all the 6 inch wonky strips I cut, so today I set out to USE THEM UP! 🧵✂️. The result is a stunning scrappy quilt! ❤️. From Scraps! ♻️. My scraps strips were cut into 6" lengths, and my widths varied from around 1.5" to 2.5". This is why the blocks are "wonky" and also why they DONT HAVE TO MATCH! ❤️. I hope you use this idea to have some FUN with your scraps! This quilt top finished to about 54 inches by 65 inches. ⏰ MY TOTAL PROJECT TIME - 5 HOURS. ⏰ (CAT NOTES: 😻 You can hear Blaize purring between 9&11 minutes! I did not realize he was being so loud!)

  • My favorite kind of sewing... I'm spending my retirement years doing just this!

"Barely enough" is soooo much better than "Not quite enough"...YAY!!!
  • Once again, another beautiful, colourful, scrappy quilt top. A fantastic way to use up your scrappy stash. That sashing was perfect. Thanks for this idea 🥰
  • I love your scrappy quilt and all of your videos, thank you for sharing!

Wow, what a great project! I love watching your videos. Definitely no stress sewing and I love that!
  • You would not believe how difficult I find scrappy. After a professional life of precision and my sewing life too. Not pressing each square my toes were curling😫LOL Thankyou for showing me how liberating it can be. Now I know I just have to let go and jump in👏👏👏🤞🤞🤞🤣🤣
  • @gojenn0927
I agree - the sashing takes this to the next level! Beautiful!
  • W h e w!!! Glad you had enough of the sashing strips! Another example of finished is better than "perfect!" What a lovely quilt! Balancing the colors the way you did between lights and darks and the sashing really made the difference! It tied the quilt together beautifully!
  • Formidable Annette ! Encore un joli résultat pour ces coutures enchaînées, ha ça me plaît ! À bientôt. Régine 🇫🇷😍

I agree, the blue sashing really sets off the colorful blocks. I'm so glad you had enough😊
  • Love the quilt I am in the process of making a Queen size scrappy twisted rail fence. Is taking awhile but living it. Desley🇦🇺

Your result is really beautiful!! From second-round scraps, too, thanks to your beautiful blue sashing. Your production skills and your creativity are outstanding. Great job!

I'm loving this scrappy quilt top! I also take the unusable pieces AND the cutoff thread pieces, set them aside and use them for pillow stuffing. I just completed 41 pillows for the homeless, using these, along with quilt batting that was too small and cut up clothing, soft fabric. Nothing in the landfill. Happy sewing everyone!
