The way they survive the fires makes me think of some of the animals that may have emerged similarly after the Chicxulub impact.

Quite often, when I'm fishing around the rivers, they come walking past, and if you go to close, they just seem to sink into the ground. They can dig themselves down very quickly. Very cute.
