    Take off plastic, you don't need it ... Direct sow the beans. I put 3-5 bush beans in one 5 gallon. Blue lake. Pole bean.. put pvc pipe in middle. first cut notches on the top. around bucket put holes around top to tie twine to bucket, then up to notch at top of pole. plant pole bean at every twine line. I do 3 to 4. I usually put coir on top as cover. If you use felt bags - they are wide, I plant 5+ bush beans in those.

    Brilliant! I used to have a very large garden but had to move to care for my elderly mom. I’ve been planting only bush beans for the last 2 years and I just told my son how much better I liked pole beans but that they needed a lot of vertical support to climb. I’m going to definitely use your method next summer! Never thought about using transplants but that’s genius! Thanks for posting! 👍🏼❤️🫡
