Friday practice at Spa is over and the fastest driver of the day was Lando Norris in the Mclaren as Mclaren surprised everyone with a 1-2 in practice as Oscar Piastri was second fastest and Max Verstappen in the Red Bull was third after topping the session in FP1. The day featured a lot more dry running than was expected as it was expected that there would be heavy rain however none of this turned up. Rain is still expected for Qualifying so it will be interesting to see what changes the teams make. Ferrari had a stronger day as Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc looked a lot more comfortable and they were the 3rd fastest team as Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, possibly had things turned down a little bit more in their power unit.

Spa is an iconic circuit and features a number of legendary corners such as La Source, Eau Rouge, Pouhoun, Blanchimant, and the final Bus stop Chicane. The circuit is high speed and overtaking is very easy, this is the final race before the mid season break and the teams will be looking to head into the break on a high. Will Red Bull be able to get one over Mclaren or will Mercedes or even Ferrari find a way into the fight at the front?

Lewis for pole๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ damn im a ham fan but didnt expect that prediction
  • The weather is so wet. A perfect Spa would be one with a hot chocolate and a waffle to warm you up ๐Ÿ˜Š

That Alpine looks incredible ๐Ÿ˜ good video man
  • It's not that red Bull are slow in slow speed corners their tyres fell at that corner so was the case with Leclerc . Compare Leclerc, verstappen and Norris and you will notice both Leclerc and Max fell at same corner. Ferrari actually haven't turned up there engines they are same as other teams. They are fast in straight lines because of aero efficiency. I read an article about Ferrari going for straight line speed like last year from spa to get better results in 2nd half of season and also monza is coming.

Max is at least as good as (and in my opinion better than) Lewis in the rain, and the Red Bull looks better than the Mercedes this weekend, so why would Lewis get the pole in the wet and not Max?
  • @FelipeBorgesJF
I believe Lewis had to abort his last fast lap and decided to do long runs with his soft tyre. That's why he was 10th

I'm a big Hamilton fan, but the predictions are way off imo. But thats your take, I'll go by Lando 1st, Verstappen 2nd, Ham 3rd, Osc 4th and Saints 5th

Mclaren just needs to let the drivers fight. I feel like in their case, their just afraid to let their drivers fight. Their to careful IMO. I think one the reasons why Lando was so hesitant to give the position is because they were not allowed to fight until the last lap. Hopefully, we actually see them free to fight maybe a few laps before the final lap maybe lap 40 should be the final chance to fight. I actually hope Lando doesn't get pole lmao. Not because I don't want him to win, but I feel like when he's not in pole, he has more of a chance to win.

Lewis for pole is bold decision but logical since its a cool qualifying
  • @martinavery3979
Max could find himself starting behind K Mag, that could wreck his day
  • @wfranco12
My wet perdition is Sergio Perez hits the wall again. King of the wet crash.
  • @ToffepeerTH
MClaren has the best car yet again, two very capable drivers (probably the strongest duo in the field, although Lewis en George are close). Max can be happy with a p3 if manages. ALso regarding top speeds on the first straight, that's down to lifting in eau rouge because of plankwear with higher downforce.
  • @santamom_lolreal
do u th8nk ferrari have a good chance of front running? because they looked rapid
  • @gojoxgeto879
why norris over piastri in rain norris is fanoumanal in rain
  • @MurrayMaunder
But, but, but..... Lando is mighty in the wet. P5???
  • what the hell has happened to redbull in FP1 they were flying , but in FP2 mclaren was so much faster than redbulll , was it because of weather conditions or because of some setup changes ? and why redbull was only fast in sector two ???
  • @sebvettel2462
It's not often i disagree with you but I am this weekend, I reckon Ferrari are going to be fast
