European Union backs ICC ruling on Israel's occupation of Palestine

The EU is backing the International Criminal Court's ruling on Israel's occupation of Palestine. The United Nations Court ruled that the 57-year occupation was unlawful. International relations expert Brooks Spector explained.

It was an advisory opinion requested by the general assembly several years ago so it was never meant to be enforceable. The ball is back in the UN's court now (no pun intended).
