Young adult to man. That's one of the things the internet reveals, growth of the individual and the stages of life, that never gets old.
  • A warm welcome back from us as well :) This video explains FOSS so very well, we can already see ourselves linking to it a lot, like a lot a lot ๐Ÿค“ The entire team is really excited to hear about your experience with the Godot Engine and cannot wait to see your next video ๐Ÿคฉ Please don't hesitate to reach out to us, if you ever want to chat about the project or give us feedback directly!

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.

Unreal. GameMaker. Unity. Godot. Long ago, the four Game Engines lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Unity Engine attacked. Only the Brackeys, master of all four Game Engines, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Brackeys, an game developer named Asbjรธrn , and although his Unity skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Asbjรธrn can save the world. <3 welcome back <3

There could not have been better timing. Thanks for making open source more popular
  • I can't really say enough how much I missed him, like legit, from studying game dev as a hobby into the process of full time learning and soon starting a degree in game development, making my own games now and working on bigger projects - you're the first one to teach and show how it should be done. And from seeing myself being inspired by you, this is incredible. I remember the video "goodbye and thank you" and I was in shock, but now I am more than happy. And after becoming a more advanced unity user I can now study from you on a different system, and I can't wait to see your next videos. Thank you so much for making this channel and coming back, for making the this community and helping out game developers become the next generation. You're the best!
  • @SebastianLague
Really happy to hear you've rediscovered your excitement for making games, and I think the new focus on FOSS is awesome. Welcome back!
  • @CodeMonkeyUnity
Oh wow this is a welcome unexpected surprise! Great to see you back!

it's so surreal to see one of the youtube channels that first inspired me to really pursue my dream of making games, struggle with the EXACT same disillusionments i had a few years ago as well. and to then see that channel return with some of the most reassuring and reinvigorating points to help me reconsider that dream i'd started to feel wouldn't be possible. i just watched through your first godot video, and i'm enamored! the program looks so kind on beginners, and being free means i don't have to go through the same guilt of buying a program i won't end up using due to that lost spark. ๐Ÿฅบ i'm really looking forward to messing with it myself. you were one of the biggest voices to make me realize this is something i could really do, and it's kind of crazy to me that you felt the same things i did over the last few years. i'm so happy you found your spark again, and so excited to feel mine rekindling too. really looking forward to your second godot video! i can't wait to learn the language!! ๐Ÿ’ช

When I was starting to code my first excuse to learn code was actually game dev, after 2 months into it I left and started pursuing python, javascript and web technologies and it's been 4 years since I'm doing it but game development was something I always wanted to do, and fortunately just a month ago i stated gamedev again with more confidence this time and seeing brackeys being back is the most empowering thing to me. Let's do it developers!! Thank you so so much brackeys to making it back to YouTube. This time I'm gonna be making videos too just like my hero brackeys.
