N81250 Piper Warrior - Wing Fell Off During Climb?

Published 2024-07-15
It's Sunday Night! Welcome! Thanks for watching Probable Cause. The LIVE chat is open during the initial showing (9:30 pm Eastern Time - Sunay nights) and closes once the video has completed.

This short video contains all the General Aviation fatal accidents from 2024, up through today, July 14, 2024 plus a bit of new info on the plane crash that I was in on June 17.
Still no word on the Piper crash, I cannot tell if the wing fell off prior to impact or not, but as of right now, it kind of looks that way. We shall see.

This channel takes a lot of work! I hope that it helps you stay alive!
I will be off work (my normal flying jobs) for a while because of this accident. If you are able to offer support, we very much appreciate it. If not, that is OK too!
I have no sponsors, no Patreon, no Ad Revenue, I pay all my own travel expenses for all speaking engagements.

But most of all, learn and understand the concepts presented. I work on these videos and travel to locations as I am able. Help me if you can! If you liked this video and my effort, you can donate a very small amount ($1 or $2) direct to Dan for helping to travel make this aviation content possible. Please keep donations to my cause "small" and ONLY participate if I helped you, or if you appreciate the work I did to bring you this special aviation content, or especially if you learned something that can help you stay alive!

All electronic transactions are safe and secure via the four mobile banking applications listed below. All electronic donation support is received 100% in full, with no fees or transaction percentages lost! Thank you! Dan Gryder

Several years ago when I was flying banners in a PA-25, there was one time that I was taxiing in between flights and the maintenance guy flagged me down to stop and shut down. He walked over to the wing, shook it, and said "your main wing bolt is loose, I saw it shaking while you were taxiing." *deep breath and chills* After that, shaking the wings became etched into the preflight procedures.
  • Oh it’s wonderful to see Glenn and you together teasing each other. Hadn’t heard much how Glenn was doing, wonderful. Indiana
  • Hey Dan. Good to see you and Glen alive and kicking. Man, you really had the narrow escape. Thenk God. It really wasn't your day. Hope it stays like that for many years to come. Hope you get back on the settle soon too. Good winds and happy landings from Portugal 🇵🇹

nice to see you 2 comedians getting back to normal glad you and glenn r ok best wishes on a speedy recovery.......
  • You are correct about the water….remember the big crash at Reno ….there was no fireball at all as the aircraft had a steam recovery system instead of radiators and the impact basically vaporized all the water instantly and reduced the flash point of the VP RACING FUEL on board. That crash could have been SO MUCH WORSE with fire thrown in to the mix.

Why do I laugh every single time I see the Moped expert’s face? 😂
  • Dan. You are doing an amazing job and you are persistient in your mission. You might rub people the wrong way and who knows IRL I might not care for you either, BUT so what. I appreciate what you do and you do it well. Keep it up. You are saving lives and helping GA. To all the Jelly guys out that Dan has rubbed the wrong way...get over it. Grow up. You are on the same team.
