The hero’s need to win every time The villains only need to win once

"There's so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... Never gets to see that ending....They’ll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They’ll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith....Ain’t that a bitch?" —Epsilon's dying words. Halo Red vs Blue

"one day Hero they will turn on you, and you will see those stares now filled with hope and adoration then turned to hate and fear. on that day Hero you will know, on that day you Will become me."
  • Legend has it if a hero dies a legend is born to inspire others

Most people believe the end of the story is when the hero sacrifices himself for the greater good, when he holds his heart out to the world in order to unite it and save it. However, they could not be much further from the truth. The Hero saved the world from the great evil that overtook their world, but with that they left a hole within their friends and family. The person they loved now wonders if the true love they once felt could ever be felt again, their close friends cry behind closed doors as they question what happened that day, and their parents just wish they had their child back. Through tears and sorrow a new world is born, one where all of these people slowly realize that the Hero may have stopped a great evil once but many more are to come in the future. Thus, much like the Hero held his life out to the world these people now do the same by retelling the stories of the person who once saved the world. With songs, tales, plays, or games they never let the legend of the warrior who once swept the land and purged the growing evil from it that way, with time, a child who believes in fairy tales will eventually become the next legend to make the people have hope once more.

History is written by the victors, our hero are there villeins. People are remembered by the rules they protect or the rules they break. I sat with my anger long enough to find that it name was grief. I may not be the best, but I defiantly not like the rest. The idea is to die young as late as possible. I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery. Burn if you must, but always rise from the ashes. I am proud of my pain; it means I am stronger than those without it. If you win, you live. If you lose you, die. If you don’t fight, you can’t win. The only way to exceed your limits is to first find them. Your words will make no sense to a person who doesn’t weigh them properly. “It’s beautiful.” “So is the sun, until you get to close.” Ghosts are just like memories, an echo of once was. It doesn’t get easier, you get stronger. These are a few quotes that came ti mind when I saw the title, hope some one out there sees this and understands.
  • A true hero knows that it's not their victory they're fighting for.

"You can only be a hero by sacrificing something for the sake of others. Even if it is your very own life. Thus, a hero always meets a fateful end. It is their destiny." "But heroes are amazing, they're the pinnacle of hope and admiration! Everyone should aspire to be a hero. It's only right. Right?" "A hero is an ideal. A villain is someone real. Okay? Everyone is a mixture of both, even the most villainous evils have a bit of hero in them. It's only the type of impact they have on others regardless of scale that determines whether they're a hero or villain. But that's the thing. It's all subjective . A hero doesn't make any sense at all!" "How does a hero not make any sense?! A- A hero is someone who helps others, how does that not make sense, huh? What can't you understand about that?!" "A hero always helps others, but who will help the hero!? They always sacrifice something, whether it be their time or their life!" "So what if they have to sacrifice something? Is the result of helping others not a reward that balances the sacrifice? The result of being a hero.. being respected, admired, thanked, loved! Changing lives for the better, saving lives, making life worth living for the sacrifice of a mild inconvenience to the hero. Is it not worth it?!" "A hero sacrifices himself to save others, but what if others suffer because the hero sacrifices his own life? It's a paradox okay? If you continue and be a hero, only to end up buried in the ground because it needed a sacrifice too great... What will I do!?! Tell me!! What am I going to do if you die?!" "I-.. I don't... I just.. want to help others. I want to make a difference..." "If the only way you can help others is by hurting someone else, what's the point?! You might as well be the villain hurting those close to you!" "But I.. I just need to help others. What's my purpose if not to do that? All my life I aspired to be a hero, I admired heroes of legends, respected them! Is it so wrong that I want to be as great as them?" "Can't.. can't you be a hero by helping me then? Help me by staying safe? You're already the greatest hero in my eyes."
  • I'm not scared of being weak, I don't want to be strong to be a hero, i know people die and sometimes you can't save them. i want to be strong because if the time comes to protect those i love, the least i can do is take the monsters with me when i go. but i don't want to be a hero everyone wants to be a hero not me...me? what do i want to be? i'll be the darkness that reminds bad men that they are far from the scariest thing out there but im not evil, light always shines brightest in darkness, remember the devil was once an angel and heros may fall lives may end but ill stand tall at the end of this world i will stare out into the blackness and defy the end Last Words of Elarys
  • "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." and that's why the heroes always die.
  • @JaK_Winter2099
You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
  • @ijustexist7914
the world fails to realise that being the hero is not easy. most of the times people understand the villain's backstory but what about the hero? anyday he can choose to be a villain coz the pain ,the suffering the hero has to bear is too much but still he chooses to be a "HERO". ♡

You watched as a figure fell. Panic rose in your chest as your ran towards it. Your body shook as you crouched down, staring into the eyes of your enemy. Weather you shook from fear, sadness or excitement was a mystery. "Why now?!" You shook your head. "I had it all planned out, I never meant to kill you! I needed you to win, why are you dying now!" Now all of your plans were ruined, and you had to start over from scratch. You hit the ground with your palm, hissing when it came in contact with sharp pebbles. A low groan broke you from your thoughts. You quickly turned back to the hero. They turned their head and smiled at you, to your astonishment. "It-It was bound to happen anyways," Their voice was scratchy and low, their breathing raspy. "Want to hear a fun fact?" You nodded slowly, "Okay..." The hero chuckled softly, then shook when a cough took them by surprise. "Fun fact..." "The hero always dies."
