“So every time we touch each other we transform into a huge monster that destroys everything in it’s path.... Let’s do it again “
  • @wren9713
Everyone’s talking about deeper meanings and I’m over here just impressed with the animation
  • I find the usage of personification in this video to be very interesting. The fact that the only ones given faces are the man, woman and monster creates a strange effect. It's very natural for someone to feel empathy for the man and the woman, it feels like they are being pushed around, that they didn't choose to be in this situation but really they are lashing out and hurting those around them, but because the people they are hurting are faceless entities we don't feel that same degree of empathy for them. Even the monster being shot while destroying the city feels like an injustice, like it should be left alone. You see no life in the city, the things shooting at the monster are either faceless "people" or metal wedges, in contrast the monster grimaces and panics every time it is hurt. Deep down you know the monster is the villain in this situation but knowing that behind it is still the same poor alone man and woman, who cant even reach one another, makes you feel as if the monster itself is a victim of some great cosmic injustice. And all these emotions are sparked in us because a few people have faces and a few others don't.

I think I got the message down of the song down to a note, for me this was the most beautiful love story about a forbidden love but at the same the time the fear that it creates for both of them creates conflicting reactions that result in destruction, the lyrics are literally Mr.FEAR talking about how much he doesn't want to trust in it, to do not fear the love, and the destruction it creates around the city signifies just how badly they are trying despite the maybe eventual outcome. So yeah I cried xD, cheers.
  • Everyone is freaking out over the theories that can come from this, while I am just sitting over here basking in the GORGEOUS ANIMATION LIKE WHAT

Siames: posts a cryptic music video Fans: DETECTIVE TIME
  • I'm four years late to this masterpiece, and I just need to address the excellent storytelling in a MUSIC VIDEO, it's even better when you realise most of the clips are out of time, but seamlessly feel like they're apart of the current scene that is happening, until it gets close to the climax and then you realise what's happening, it's honestly a great way to blind your viewers before finally giving them what they crave, and speaking of things to crave, THIS ANIMATION STYLE! OH MY GOD, IT'S GLORIOUS-

I'm a biologist, so, I'm biased to see biological and evolutionary analogies) There's an automatic pattern activated by our sympathetic nervous system called the 'fight-or-flight' responce. It's evolutionary beneficial for our survival in threatening situations. The girl is a huntress - she represents the 'fight' part. Hostility is her usual response to danger, she shoots at people out of fear. The alien boy is a 'flight' part of the system. He wants to run, cower, pretend like he's not here, once some threat arises. In the end, they are two sides of one coin... a coin which we call fear. Together they create anxiety, and it can be devastating. Nowadays, it's not about a tiger hiding in the bushes. A phone call, a deadline or schedule alteration, someone's opinion about you can trigger the same 'fight-or-flight' response and make you feel threatened all the time. The system which ensured the survival of our ancestors is now destroying our relationships, our societies. 'I know it's not real but it's in my soul' is pretty accurate for millions of people who struggle with anxiety in our fast-paced world. Unfortunately, 'no cure is coming, you know'. It's an essential part of our nervous system, part of who we are. The cure, however, can be found by being attentive to your health, maintaining meaningful social relationships and asking for help (psychotherapy, medications, changing your environment). Stay safe.

I think both characters represent fear. The girl faces everything head-on out of fear, she doesn't want to be vulnerable. The alien runs away because he doesn't want to lose either. Together they make the ultimate embodiment, a creature too scared to run away but also too scared to rationalize. This fear also evolves as fear is complex, it is sometimes needed but hard to control :) just my thoughts though

I just realized the first monster and second are completely different, with the second being an almost more evolved version of the first, no longer having just an eye, but some diamond that functions as a mouth too, as well as lines across the body. The first had oversized shoulders and skinny forearms while the second have even mass through the arm. So I wonder if their third creation will be even more evolved than the first two.
  • God this is poetic, the way the music swells as they search for eachother, the way it falls when they touch, this has got to be one of the most moving music videos i have ever seen
  • @norpiy2563
4 years later and im still attached to these one-off characters. I want to see these two again so badly, their situation, their relationship, their dependance and fear of each other ALL communicated exclusively through action and expression, no words. just... *chefs kiss*. There's much to build off beyond this music vid. i wanna make a crappy made spin-off of what happens next just to satisfy the fanart/fanfic artist in me but god would that take years.
  • i started to notice something, there is a lot of theory comments in mr fear and the wolf, but siames never stopped what they where doing to say any of them is wrong, this just makes everything a lot better because everyone can have their own takes on the song props to you siames, +3 points for being really cool
  • @AwsomeKat777
You know, setting aside all the metaphorical meaning, the literal meaning of the story is pretty cool. Futuristic world where alien and humans are separated because of weird addictive super love powers that occur when they touch.
  • I love the lines "how long you'll call me insincere" and "let us out of here, don't fight with me my dear, why can't i be here?" because you can trust your fear of trying to keep you safe and making you getting out of that situation but if we don't fight we will never learn important things being the reason of why we can't allow fear to stay. The lyrics are so beautiful, amazing work.
  • @riotbreaker3506
So Mr. Fear is love, and every time they touch, they create a wild beast that they don't know how to control because it's so powerful and new to them, they pull apart and the beast dies. they realize that they are alone, but find comfort in each other, touching again, creating a more powerful beast. It begins to pull them apart due to outside stresses, and because they don't touch, the beast dies again. This is at their weakest, when they realize they need each other the most, and so they reconnect before it all ends, possibly starting the beast again.
  • My theory: SIAMÉS are criminally underrated and need more attention
  • @just_slightly
anyone else come back to this every once in a while? it's just so good you can't forget abt it
