I remember my shiny palkia hunt. I decided to name them freedom after the agonizing several days of hunting. I can't imagine any longer, but I've easily spent a month hunting a shiny rockruff

As a shiny hunter, I just found it funny when you initially thought Piplup would be sub 50 hours. Also, you were pretty lucky with Dialga. I hunted Palkia in a normal playthrough and went over 7000 resets trying to get it. All within a similar amount of time as your hunt... I really need a different hobby Lastly, I wish I had been around for that, cause I still need to get at least one shiny from the Grand Underground. I'll probably do that after I finish getting everything I can from the 3DS before Pokémon Bank potentially shuts down. Gotta have priorities when hunting 😅

I missed most of the shiny encounters for this, but ain't NO WAY was I missing the ultimate end of the run.

When I was playing Shining Pearl, my first catchable Pokemon encounter was a shiny Kricketot and I wasn't even hyped because it's the first Pokemon i ever hated
