  • Hi Friends - I did it! I finally finished and published my ebook! This is the story of how I went from depression to dream life in one year by minimizing my world down to the size of a suitcase. I hope my book inspires you to follow your dreams :) If I can do it, you can too! You can find it here: amzn.to/2nyyc7a
  • Apparently I've been a "minimalist" for years and didn't even know it.
  • When she talks about giving up TV because she didn't like advertisements, but this video is actually an advertisement for Audible (as are many YouTube videos) 🙄
  • Hi Everyone, I have been receiving a lot of comments in regards to the space behind me not being minimal enough. I am currently being hosted by a family in Italy, meaning it is not MY home. I only own the things brought with me in a suitcase. I minimized my entire life down to a suitcase to make the move so if you are interested in that topic there is a Minimalism Playlist and a Moving to Italy Playlist on my channel. Have a nice day! xx
  • I personally don't agree with not buying books because a) you can always resell them and b) I really don't want book stores to go extinct. I respect listening to audio books but I don't think it is against minimalism to buy books either. I definitely agree with a lot of the other tips you had though!
  • Make list before going to the grocery store, prevents you from overbuying and wasting food. Especially fruits and vegetables
  • I can totally adopted everything in here, except the books part - I love books. I love their smell and I love to feel the touch of the pages and really read a lot ❤
  • As a minimalist the few things I buy are the best quality things that can be bought. A few things but the best things. But that's not for everything I buy, like dish soap or aspirin. Just for bigger longer term things like sofas or rugs. Yes, logos shouldn't define you but high quality shouldn't be sacrificed because of logos. Like I'll always buy Levis because they're long lasting and great quality not because they have a logo. And also because Levis are what I've worn for years so there's that whole "why fix what's not broken" deal. For me it's not about the money it's about the space, the convenience, simplicity and quality of living. I also buy as much American Made as possible. Those are my few tips.
  • Oh GOD I could NOT give up netflix! buuuuut I also don't pay for it..soooo....
  • The library is a great place. Don't buy books when you can get them for free, while taking advantage of your community's resources- as a resident, you are paying for them anyway.
  • Haha I don't buy this stuff either, but that's because I'm broke....I guess it's cool to just not buy it by choice though
  • I always buy second hand with clothes and decorations. I love thrift shopping and garage selling. I would never where items with logos on them. It's free advertising for that company. If they paid me, I would show off their brand.
  • @becklee94
I wish she wasn't so shy about talking about the cup. Periods shouldn't be a taboo topic
  • @shantife
I never buy - make up, perfumes, cellphones, laptops, almost any gadget, no coffee, alcohol, no fancy clothes, no dresses. I almost never go to wedding or birthday parties.
  • @FefaPable
I don't watch TV because it really boring now. The internet is my new TV.
  • I like her ideas,  Elite logos are a slave brand of an envious arrogant mindset ,  she is Freeing her Mind from the Matrix , listen closely

A tip for people trying to cut back on cell phone data plans, instead of buying a "dumb phone" (as opposed to a smart phone) ... you can go into your smartphone settings and choose which applications can use cell phone data, so you can turn off the Safari/Facebook/Snapchat/Instagram so that you can only use it on Wifi, but still have your data to use for GPS, iMessage, email, etc. So it will essentially be a dumb phone when you're out and about, but you can still use it for the maps and things, and you'll have the option to use your apps when you are around wifi. There really is no sense in getting a basic phone. I was considering getting a basic phone but realized there's a lot to be said about having a phone like the iPhone or Galaxy that has a camera, calculator, note taking, etc all built into it. Hope that helps! Great video, I'm cleaning out my room right this minute!
  • I dont think substituting a book for an audible book is a good idea. Its not the same!!
