It's about time parents are being held accountable for their kids actions.

Good its time to hold parents accountable for their awful parenting that has consequences.

Kid deserves every second of 15yrs for driving the way he was.
  • If the parents gave the child a car, then they do bear responsibility at first I thought he just took the car or stole a car. You can't hold someone accountable for the actions of someone else, but if they gave him the car, then they do their responsibility.
  • He walked away, and she was carried away. Another rich kid driving a bmw and no license or suspended. How many times have we heard this story.?

Parents need training before being pregnant. Kids need rules, discipline, and love. School is not responsible for discipline and love.

A child is dead and no one is serving any time

Why would you give your child a car if they dont have a license? A responsible parent would say that you must get your license first! Their decision to give him a car must have been for bragging rights in social media....DAF!!!

Definitely the right decision to charge parents. They are the authority at home, and educators. If you don't give your child the tools needed to function in society, and they brake the law causing the death of an innocent young lady, your totally at fault. You knew he didn't have a license and gifted him a vehicle, to continue victimized every passenger with him, and driver on the road. Having a license for the first time, deals with understand the law, and the consequences, plus the traffic rules. Lastly the ability to decide when is a good idea to go 100 plus miles an hour, is one that in the end most likely than not, has a deadline with a date, not a what if. It will happen to you, and others around you.

I bet people start properly supervising their children if you make this a trend it would reduce so much heartache and tragedies. Start holding parents accountable again.
  • Under the circumstances, I completely agree. The parents knew ahead of time but they did nothing about it.
  • About time parents faced consequences of their bad/lack of parenting!!
