  • "People talking without speaking, people hearing without listening" This really touched me, it tells deep about our society...

I had an English teacher in the 10th grade who thought Simon and Garfunkel were the best poets of modern times. We spent much time listening to and discussing their works. I developed a great appreciation for their music. All of their music are works of art.

I was born in '46 and was a teenager when these guys were a hit. Different times are here. Thanks for the memories.

It’s really sad that this song was never appreciated as much as it deserves. Those who have felt the darkness in their lives have actually lived through these lyrics.

Yeah, it's become a classic, and 100 years from now it will still be a classic. This song, and so many others of the era is what was playing in the background of my wonder years. I'm 68 years old now and it still resonates with me. ✨✌️🙂

At 17 years old my Brother died. This album was spinning. He us a great man. Ambidextrous, talented in baseball, basketball, football and kindness

It is Early 2024 and this music still calms me
  • This song has more meaning today than ever. We are bombarded by the media.

This song was written in the early 1970s. It was appropriate then and is appropriate now. People make neon gods and bow to them. All that flashiness can't be good as a god. Then one day, people realize it's better to be silent then to just talk endlessly and say nothing.

2024 and I'm 66. I never ever get tired of listening to this song.
  • I play this song every time I feel alone and as if my heart broke This song really helped me realise that in all darkness there could be a light that gives you happiness And between all the problem that finds Me in the sound of silence It doesn't hurt me because good tends To Triumph over evil Which corrupts all people But nothing that can corrupt The sound of silence

Paul Simon in one ear, Art Garfunkel in the other, the guitar hovering in between: Heaven 👌🏻

Garfunkel, one half of the duo and co-writer of the famous song, summed up the meaning of this song by stating, “this is a song about the inability of people to communicate with each other”
  • 2024 still listening to this song. Takes me back to the younger days 😊
