The Bus is a prime example of how Gumball MASTERED Wacky Humor. While a lesser talked about episode, The Bus revolves around "Rocky convinces the kids that they do not have to go to school. However, unbeknownst to the kids, some adults are trying to teach them about skipping school.".

Gumball is the only show that was able to reference memes correctly lmao, very little shows captured Gen Z humour like Gumball did
  • One of the things I love about Gumball is that they cram so many gags into 11 minutes that it doesn't feel like 11 minutes.

Gumball is different from other animated comedies. All other comedies try really hard to ground the situations in real life, denying the fact that it is a cartoon, gumball fully embraces that fact and makes being a cartoon an integral part of the overall plot.
  • You forgot my favorite line: “Sorry it’s kind of hard to keep your eyes on the road when there’s a crucial plot twist happening in the back of the vehicle” First time I heard that, I laughed for like a minute
  • Gumball is absolutely incredible. It’s hilarious, heartwarming, and just a fun blast all around.
  • It would have been really easy to make Richard a dumb father but he's such a lovable and surprisingly fleshed out character

i can't get over the fact that Alan's dad in this episode almost perfectly resembles a balloon version of Walter White/Heisenberg
  • @Jason_Ultimate
I will never get tired of that clip of Scott Steiner yelling "HE'S FAT". So easy to take out of context and still be hilarious.
  • Gumball kinda molded my modern form of humor and comedy, it's a real inspiration with the several animation styles, topnotch voice acting and some third thing

Another thing about Gumball thats really dope is the show doesnt preach to you either. It makes fun of everything even the current events of that time This show is legendary

gumball really had some jokes that were harder to understand when we where younger, thus it being an even better show to come back to.
  • @10RexTheWolf01
Gumball became better when S2 came out starting it with "The Remote". I love the sarcasm, self reflection, the jabs at real society and current events, 4th wall breaking and more.

Gumball is an good example on how to make a good comedy cartoon for both kids and adults to enjoy.
  • Gumball is like the updated, better version of Chowder. No shade, I love Chowder, but Gumball excels pass Chowder.

The smallest jokes and references make the show so good. Alan's dad, Dexter, is literally disguised as "Mr. White" this episode and does, indeed, look like Heisenberg.

I agree, this episode's humor (like the majority of episodes) is REALLY good. The ONLY problem I have is how they handled the "characters are stupid in this world" joke. It's like the writers forgot there's a difference between between stupid and being oblivious, since only Gumball knew it was their parents and Principal Brown.
  • This show felt like a string together of improv and out of context clips thought up by a mad genius.

Moral of the Episode: Don't try to teach people lessons, just let them learn it
