By the 1975 holidays, Carly Simon was among America’s most prominent and successful singers. With five hit albums, a string of Grammy nominations and a chart-topping #1 song on the Hot 100 (“You’re So Vain” in 1973), it was the perfect time for Simon to release her first greatest hits collection. THE BEST OF CARLY SIMON arrived in November 1975, packed with the singer’s biggest and best-known hits. Featuring her first single, "That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be," through “Attitude Dancing” from ‘75’s Playing Possum, the stellar set stood as Simon’s best-selling LP for years.
Carly Simon started off her singing career performing with her sister Lucy as "The Simon Sisters". After branching out to become a solo artist Simon quickly became one of the most influential musicians of the 70s and 80s. As a writer, singer and musician Simon's work stands alone in it's complex vulnerability. "The Best of Carly Simon" features some of her most iconic hits, including "You're So Vain", "The Right Thing To Do", "Mockingbird" and more.

Carly, always beautiful and the best singer. Listening to your voice again, revives very nice memories, such as the pleasure of enjoying these themes today, in lyrics and music, and that they are eternal.
