我在英國也有收過這樣的電話。但作為普通一個打工人，清清白白，我深知自己不可能捲入任何詐騙案，也沒有半點污點。所以能墮進這種陷阱的，多多少少自己有點心虛；可能是複雜的背景或者曾經有過財務上的虛構/隱瞞/欺詐。

I stay in Singapore and heard a similar case that an old Singaporean lady was scammed by the same type of method to defraud her money. She got a call saying that she's involved in a money laundry case in China so the guy showed her the police license and she did believed it. What i want to express is that if you're not China's citizens, why should you afraid to be deported? If you really committed a crime in other country, the country's police organisation will not look for you directly instead your local police will contact you to do further clarifications / investigations.

My wife experienced similar terrifying scam few years ago. A so-called Chinese police reached and terrified her with some evidence of financial crimes. She hopelessly tried to defend her innocence few hours till I came back from work. There were a few things exposed they were shameless scammers when I joined the chat. I hanged up the phone instantly, and relieved my wife with simple facts and logics, and she ignored all suspicious phone calls ever since.

哈哈哈哈! 這手法很老套，只不過是用現在新科技。

in 2018, my 18 years old daughter received that kind of phone call in Canada. She was frightened. LUCKILY she called me and I told her that was a scam.

Very good documentary, this thing is also happening in Japan and I have encountered several calls which I all hang up. But the Japanese media has not yet made a detailed investigation like this. Thanks BBC and let's get this out in Japanese and Chinese language please.

一般来说，确实是会先电话通知，之后是让你去当地派出所或大使馆处理。一般来说都是电话通知再实地办理。

以她的名义，实际和她一点关系没有。个人信息不少是公开的，姓名，住址，电话，等等都能查得到。如何人都可以利用。我接到此类电话，就叫他们去找发货人，同时可以举报有人盗用他人个人信息。这些打电话的人就消失了。
