Studies show that neurons are metabolically protected when low dose Methylene Blue is administered systemically. Methylene Blue promotes energy metabolism and neuronal survival. A similar protective effect is observed with near infrared light. Let's review.

I learned the Krebs cycle in Chem A, Professor Berkan used 'happy bachelors' i his drawings. Then, it came up in Biochemistry, I already knew it! Then it cam up in Nursing school, I already knew it! Then it came up in Organic Chemistry in Pre Med, yeah on top of that! Now here it is again, demonstrating the value of education and excellent teachers! Dr. Been is an excellent teacher people!
  • Thank you Dr Been. I started taking MB to ensure cognitive health. My sister has been on SSRI’s for over 30 years. She also has stage 3 kidney disease (for over 9 years with no improvement) caused by other meds she had been on. She got off her SSRI and started MB, 10 mg a day. She never felt better. Her doc was worried and made her get a blood test to see how her kidneys were dealing with MB. He was shocked to see her score improved 10 points after being on MB for only 1 month.

AVOID MB TEETH STAINS: after putting MB into water, add Vit C powder and wait a few minutes until the water turns clear. No more Stains!! 🤗😁
  • Started MB 2 weeks ago for JJ vax autoimmune phenomenon injury ongoing 19 months. I’m combining with far infrared/red light because that’s what I have available. I’ll be waiting with baited breath to hear more of what you have to say. Thank you for this topic and everything you do for mankind.

This video is a “must see” for everyone to understand the mechanism for cellular death and the life-saving potential for methylene blue and Near Infrared light.
  • @galladiel
Fascinating discussion! People who are on SSIRs antidepressants should bear in mind that Methylene blue is a Monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI). MAOI inhibitors are known to cause serotonin toxicity when administered with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI).

This is absolutely the best explanation of mitochondrial functions I've ever seen. Kudos!
  • @shripop1424
Einstein said don't make things simpler but as simple as possible and you have reached to that level. A lay man like me, not related with medical science, understood the mechanism. Very nice and informative and will help me to maintain brain health . God bless you !
  • @crashnburnband
Thanks this video has increased my understanding of the biochemistry involved in the electron transport chain. This is an excellent thing as I am experimenting with low-dose mythalene blue for my own health enhancement. But more importantly, I eventually wish to get my wife to start using it as she has early onset dementia at 60 years of age.
  • I believe this will have implications for patients with ME/CFS as well. I have been responding well to red light therapy and it has improved the dementia in my elderly dog. The improvement has been noticeable. Haven't tried methylene blue yet, but I am going to. Thank you Dr. Bean.
  • @kenhnsy
Those molecule cartoons really helped a mind like mind understand biochemistry. Thanks for doing this.
  • One of the best doctors on YouTube who can explain in an easy and genuine way. I really appreciate all your works Dr Been.

I wish I had you as a professor when I took undergrad Biochemestry 40 years ago. Amazing synthesis and delivery. Thank you Dr Been.
  • Thank you Dr. Mobeen! I have been waiting for this and hoping your good brain could explain all the data! Thanks so much!
  • Thank you for all the work you put into your videos. I have learned much.
