  • Gotta remember, as Americans we're accustomed to snacks being a lot more heavily flavored and sweetened
  • @SonOfJoy
14:14 That face though when Tyler’s had enough of the street racer. 😂

I think the “off” flavors come from lack of sugar. Our snacks here are LOADED with sugar
  • @ByeAbby
I think Korean snacks carried forward more savory flavors with light sweetness as culture evolved while Japan made things a bit sweeter without as much savory, something that Americans who grew up with American candies might be more accustomed to. I grew up with Korean food and I loved it, but sometimes a good Japanese candy was a treat. More sugary like American snacks Edit: wasabi seaweed! That stuff's the best. Hard to find it around here but it's definitely my favorite flavor.
  • Keep this series. Try Nordic countries (Finland, Sweden,…) they are good and will fit your taste.
  • Great vid!! Day 12 of asking Tyler to start a series similar to wish Wednesday where he goes to Dollar Tree and tests all of their off brands compared to the actual brands (tapes, glues, locks, charging cables, ect.) You could call it frugal fridays!

"What are we street racing?" "That guy is so cool" I died at that lol
  • I cant wait till he gets to Thailand and gets durian snacks. it would be PRICELESS!!!
  • "Lack of Flavour"... Its exactly the other way around for me as a german trying American Snacks. Its just SO SWEET and tastes fake and chemical :D But I guess if you know nothing else it becomes the standard.
  • People street racing outside Tyler "that guy is so cool" While eating candy from Korea in his garage 😭
  • I currently live in Korea so I really enjoyed seeing you try the snacks we have here. Great video.
  • I really like how in-depth you are with your explanations on how stuff tastes. Makes it easy to imagine the flavors without me actually having to go out and buy the products. Thank you for another great video!
  • @bjverzal
The important question Tyler is, how do you know what tree bark tastes like?
  • WHAT, ARE WE STREET RACING?! Was the best unintentional bit of humor I’ve seen in a long time😂
  • @RDCNATION
This is the first time I've ever heard someone call a Yo-hoo a Yay-hoo.
  • Keep on this series Tyler! I agree European snacks will probably be a step up. Germany, Belgium, etc.

The seaweed gives me an idea! You should buy some MSG (monosodium glutamate, it is derived largely from seaweed) which is a type of sodium salt that increases the intensity of umami flavors and try adding it to random food dishes! Love the content!
  • the man, the myth, the legend himslef is continuing to spiral into food madness!
