Episode 14: Interview with Abigail Kaiser - My Childhood Home and a Sense of Closure

Published 2024-06-24
Welcome to episode 14 of the Marfan Warrior Podcast!

In this episode I have a chat with Abigail Kaiser.

Since 2015 when my grandmother passed away, my childhood home has been standing vacant. My family lost possession of the house immediately thereafter, but since nobody new had moved in, I had no sense of closure.

Abigail bought the house this past March, and she established contact with me to let me know that she had found some of my old photos while she was cleaning out the house. I decided to invite her on as a guest on my podcast in an attempt to bring that chapter of my life to a close, to hand the baton over, to finally achieve closure.

I discovered that Abigail is a wonderful person and I couldn't have asked for a better person to move into the house. I know that she loves that house just as much as I do, and she's she's going to do magnificent things to the house and add her personal touches to it to make it her own. I finally have a sense of closure.

This interview was a vital step for me in reaching closure, of healing in a way.
