This is an office computer used by many schools around the world more than 10 years ago, This computer is thin, beautiful, and durable, I happened to go to a friend's house and was given it, it was The owner put it in the corner of the cabinet for more than 10 years, I decided to bring it back and refresh it like it was at the factory, upgrade from window xp to window 10 pro, from a standard ata hard drive to a modern SSD for faster boot speed. dominant. I successfully restored it, maybe it will run for another 10 years or more

In many countries these kind of PC are STILL the government standard for schools, administrative and medical use

I've restored a few of these and still have 3 sitting in my workshop. I completely repainted one, painted the keyboard and mouse to match, and it ended up pretty good. Anytime you can prevent something from becoming another piece of E-Waste it's a good thing.

These core 2 duo machines still run surprisingly well with a modern OS. They also just refuse to die. You can swap parts in and out all day long and it just keeps going.

I am still using this computer and I am very happy with it. Of course, I had to replace several electrolytic capacitors, both on the motherboard and the power supply, upgrade the cpu to the maximum allowed (E6700), ram to the maximum allowed (4GB), and of course ssd. The result was a computer that is running cool, silent, and quite fast. For those interested, there is an affordable (10 Euros) add-on card (by HP) that gives DVI output, and you can connect it to any HDMI monitor or TV.

Nice job. Better to use the common eraser on RAM contacts, works like a charm

I used to have the smallest version of this computer and it was my main machine for quite some time.
