Intubation Trap (29th Original Trap)

Season 7 (Episode 7 of 10)

THE STORY

Detective Borsella receives a message from Officer Williams in which he describes the reasons for his alleged resignation. Williams' history of impulsive behavior convinces Borsella what the message implied was all true, without realizing The Angels are behind it all. Borsella clears Nathan as a suspect for the Office Trap crime scene which lifts one weight for Nathan.
Patrick tries to convince Nathan of his honest intentions to help him, but Nathan has lost hope and trust in Patrick almost entirely. This places Patrick in a desperate state of mind without Nathan's trust as he faces his biggest life gamble by performing a mission dictated by The Angels. A mission to capture Wesley Loving in order to be brought to his test.

THE TRAP

The victim is strapped to a metal chair which has an inactive burner under it. The burner is connected through electricity to a bicycle wheel with pedals on the side placed in front of the player. The player must pedal the wheel in order to activate the burner and reach a temperature of 140 degrees. The burner has a thermometer attached to it which will trigger an alarm when it reaches 140 degrees. Once this action is performed, the player will be freed immediately. But if the game is failed before a 5min timer counts to zero, a gasoline tank placed above the player will pump gasoline into his stomach via intubation process.
This trap can work in two different ways, single player or player vs player.

This is like the first time I saw someone willing to help the loser, this is quite a nice twist in a Saw Test
  • @ZeroTempz
Its so offputting where the winner makes an attempt to save the loser. It gives a lot of character to Patrick and I love it!
  • My first on-screen death, and it's a burnination. sniffs I feel like I achieved something. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who was involved on this project, particularly Luís for giving me such a fun character to be. (I'm Flynn, btw - Wesley's V/A)
  • I admire your creativity in stories and traps. Patrick is one of my favorite characters, because despite having a dark past, he is looking for redemption, including trying to save Wesley. Congratulations for the good work.

That trap is like riding a bike but the faster you pedal, the hotter the chairs get

Well that was amazing. I honestly laughed when Patrick said to Nathan "don't be such a bitch" i don't know why, maybe it was the delivery. I'm glad that Nathan has been dropped from the charges. And wow, Nathan ain't playing no games, he really IS tierd from being used. As much as I am at Nathan's ruthlessness, I'm also shocked that Patrick was in a trap as well. I don't expect that. The trap was great, it genuinely made me want to look away, I speculate that if Nathan pressed just one button then the time would be shorter and only one person will play. Well Wesley is dead so I guess he won't report anything, but I'm surprised that Patrick actually wanted to help Wesley escape, you don't see that often. I still believe that Rafael is the leader of the angels, a leader from a cult wouldn't just show themselves to someone who wants them to be brought to justice, unless he plans to kill Patrick which i doubt. Ps. Love the new puppet Angelo, it gives a new identity to the angels.

Patrick has such a really good heart. He didnt want him to die, just wanted to do what's right. Even if he couldn't save him, it was the thought and attempt that counts. Amazing episode as well as the trap done.

I like the trap. I couldn't believe the trap is in the same room as the cylinder trap.
  • R.I.P Weasley I actually really feel bad for him. Other than that this trap was really good. I love how Patrick tried to save Weasley, well done JLGR productions I can’t wait for “the saw trap.”

Since Patrick has won the duel, what’s gonna happen to him now that we know his dark secret ?
  • @LightBranch4246
It’s good to see you re-using sets from past episodes. Love Angelo btw. I can already tell that Patrick was starting to regret some of the things he said about the Angel’s puppet design when he saw him!
  • Wow this episode was amazing, the story is just getting better every episode. The trap was well thought out and very brutal for the news anchor but what comes around goes around I guess. I actually respect Patrick for trying to save him it was actually very selfless of him
  • The mouths appearing over the dolls oddly reminds me of Robot Chicken lol. Great work as always man!
  • @Skylar_T
Another great video, great trap. I especially loved the fact that Patrick tried to help Wesley instead of leaving him to die.

You sir are a pure genius with your craft! You always manage to have me at the edge of my seat with your traps ever since I was in jr high. Another masterpiece!

Love the idea of being able to choose who plays the game, amazing work from you as always!

WOW. THERE WERE SOME MAJOR TWISTS I WAS NOT EXPECTING. 1) Patrick being in a trap already. Because of Patrick’s importance to the plot, I assumed he would be in a trap in the 9th or 10th episode. But no, bro is already in a trap. Also, I like how the promotional images makes the viewers believe that the Intubation trap was ONLY for Wesley, but only to be revealed that was Patrick was playing the trap as well. Moreover, I liked how as the show progresses, it’s revealed that Patrick isn’t exactly a good person. This ties to the big theme of the Nathan Ragazzi series, which is the “Morally Grey”. 2) Nathan allowing both Wesley and Patrick playing the game. First and foremost, I assumed that the buttons were a “live or die” option for Nathan to choose the fate for Wesley, but no, it was the unexpected. Likewise, I assumed that Nathan would only pick Wesley’s button (although that’s just my bias speaking, since Patrick is a lot more ‘likeable’ than Wesley). More importantly, this leaves the audience wondering whether Nathan did the right thing, and connects to the motif of “Justice vs. Revenge” in this show. Should people consider Nathan’s decision a form of justice, as he was constantly the face of: accusations, depression, and anxiety that he’s been dealing with for months, and he finally put his perpetrators in their place? Or is it revenge, and Nathan just wanted to see them suffer for using him? Are Justice and Revenge the same thing in this show? Again, Nathan’s decision and the motif tie to the theme of the “Morally Grey”. 3) THE REVEAL OF ONE OF THE ANGEL MEMBERS. This leaves so much interpretation for the viewer as to who Patrick came face to face with. Some could argue that it’s simply a ‘no-name’ individual who works for the Angels. OR, some could argue that it’s Rick Holowell himself, which would confirm that Rafael Howard is actually a nice guy and not a part of the Angels. Moreover, what will happen to Patrick, since he wasn’t supposed to save Wesley. The build up to this episode was great. I swear the first 8-10 minutes was mind-boggling. I AM LOVING THE TENSION AND DRAMA THAT’S ABOUT TO SPIRAL DOWN EVEN FURTHER!!
