He got his money, he doesn’t care. A tale as old as time.

Jordan Poole is exactly what happens when you ride on the shoulder of giants and mistake yourself for the giant.
  • @miggyalejandro
Tbh, playing with Steph means the defense doesn't care as much about you. Without Steph the defense focuses on him more.
  • @blue-phoenix115
Team weren't seriously game planning and focused on Poole in 2022. After the championship when pressure and expectations picked up, Poole regressed and couldn't adapt.
  • @315giants
dray punched the talent out of him
  • @garretnarjes782
One underrated aspect.... at the start of his 4th season, the NBA made a point of calling more carries. His production immediately went down and he never had a good rhythm after that.

I remember someone commenting on how during the 2022 play-offs, no one really knew about Poole and they gave him lots of space and very little respect. Jordan was able to score in that situation but nowadays, everyone knows his game and its no secret how to guard him.
  • @trevormay101
His ego has gotten too big and now that he practically has the keys to the offense is ultimately going to be his downfall unless he can learn to flow in an offense
  • @badxgrass
This happens naturally because now he's at the front page of the scouting report, defensive coverages adapted to how he plays and right now his mettle is being tested and it's clearly showing that he's not rising above the competition, but it's still a bit early to lock in. Give him the benefit of the doubt, let's wait and see if he adjusts. If this slump goes on for the whole 82, then we can pretty much cast it in stone, but for now....let's give him some time.

Poole was making shots because of the open look due to other teams are focus on Steph and Klay. He got lucky with GSW and got cocky thinking he is same as Steph.
  • @jperkins1269
If he feels like he hit the lotto good for him. He’ll never get another contract like that again. He’d better save his bag.

“Essentially everything that needed to be done in Golden State got done. I got a ring. Made sure my family is straight. A good situation to come in [to Washington] and just kind of have my own team, play my own type of basketball.” - Jordan Poole during the Wizards media day. Pretty much says it ALL. Dude got a chip and got paid so now he's just going out there and clowning around. And the Wizards are probably encouraging him, because they're in the basement of the league, tanking for a draft pick. They don't care if he plays losing basketball, hell his game is just flashy enough that people might still buy tickets. Poole probably isn't going to get another contract after this, maybe he'll play in Taiwan or Guangdong or something, or maybe he'll just retire. When his contract is up in 2027, dude will be 28 years old, with 140M in the bank and a championship ring. Dude's probably just gonna move on and feel like he doesn't have to accomplish anything else.

Garnett wasnt too wrong about the Harden comparison. Its just that he's more of like the Harden these days, not the Harden in his prime. 😂
  • @jasenjahn
When you play for the GSW, you get looks. When teams are alway double teaming Curry. Now, at the a Wizards…you’re not getting that.
  • @aesirgaming1014
It's easier to look really good when you're paired next to two all-time great scorers. Teams planned mostly for Steph and Klay, even post-injury, is a very strong distraction as well. Add into that Wiggins and the fact that Poole came off the bench a fair amount and you have a recipe to look really good. The difference is that in Washington, teams are game-planning for him and he's seeing top defenders more often. Combine that with a bit of resting on his laurels and it's a recipe for regression.
  • @RMASUPERFLY
You have no choice but to root against Poole because of his arrogance.
  • @_viewsfromthed
If he played his role, worked hard and stayed patient with Golden State, Steph would gave him the keys to the franchise.
  • @ardie1987
He’s like Andrew Wiggins, he will not succeed if he’s the no.1 or even no.2 option. He works well playing off the real “stars”.
  • @caltesss
I wouldn't be surprised if one day he gets punched again at practice.
  • @julianbell9161
I’m a die hard Dubs fan, and I always said that the worst thing to ever happen to Poole was that he won a title and got paid immediately. It broke his brain. He thinks he’s the second coming of Steph Curry. And now on Washington, he’s completely unleashed and is the tank commander for the Wizards. I held out hope until the very end that he was the Warriors future.
