Dhruv dear, Schettino's female friend (an artist or dancer) later admitted in media, she was in captain cabin that night, and Schettino was drunk and maybe wanted to sail by as a show-off. No doubt he did not perform well as professional captain and crisis manager. Even that female dancer was left behind by so called friend Schettino, and she rescued herself beforeshe rescued personally so many stuck people.

I worked for Carnival Cruise and they always show this Costa disaster to their new joiners so the mistakes aren't repeated. Well let me admit that Dhruv has explained the entire ordeal better than the parent company themselves. 👍

Another fact Russel Rebello was the last man found on this ship . His body remainings were recovered after 2years from the incident. He became the true Captain of the ship that night. Salute to the brave heart. 🫡

Hi Dhruv....My husband is a captain and currently, we are sailing in the Pacific Ocean heading towards Los Angeles... I can definitely relate this situation to mine as we have crossed pacific meticulously coz of the rough weather. As our ship is fully loaded, we are extra cautious, but finally, we'll be reaching day after tomorrow safely😊
