this is a re-record of sunset done specially for love: me with some minor changes, improvements, and finishing touches.

sunset still remains one of my favorite songs i've ever written to this day. i wrote it at a time where i was really trying to push myself out of my comfort zone lyrically. the song originally came from a prompt i created, 'write a song based on a piece of media'. it was a great experiment in storytelling through songwriting and i'm so proud of how it turned out. lyrics:

at the edge of these canyon walls

my world spins on its axis
you point at colors in the sky
but i only see them reflected in
amaranth lips and honeyed skin
ochre in celadon eyes
