    Pile 1: it’s interesting that you saw a donkey denoting Sheetala Mata. In Rajasthan Sheetala Ashtami is celebrated before the summer begins. In this we only eat thanda baasi ( food prepared a day before) it’s so that the temperature of you body cools down before the extreme summer begins. Infact, by lunchtime I start feeling cold and feel cold throughout the day. It subsides the heat in your body. For me personally, I find this fast to be one of the most difficult one. But I see the value.
