It is CRIMINAL how under appreciated horror movies are in the mainstream awards
  • James ending the "In Memoriam" with his father got me. Tears my friends. Rest in peace to who I'm certain was a great man.
  • 42:35 - Hey Jack - my vote is resoundingly for "light green." I hope this helps you make the right choice.
  • @Zoofa188_Qe
Someone during live chat Said that the fans should vote. For that to happen it would at the very least require the fans to watch all the movies - professionally without their phones - before making up their mind Based on popularity, established franchises, US etnicentrism, etc.

“There are certain decisions that are bad decisions.” “WE SHOULD SPLIT UP.”

I can tell James was holding back tears when they paid tribute to his father. 😢 I know your dad is proud of you James

"......is an American film....". I actually love that this isn't take for granted. I love the general international perspective of these awards. Yes.... the films are from all over.
  • @PhantomFandoms
No lie, at exactly 41:28 I got an ad, so what I hear on my end is "The Prime Rib for Best Horror Villain goes to- California's housing crisis". I mean, it's not wrong....
  • 58:22 thanks for putting something for Bray that loss hit me hard RIP follow the firefly’s forever

I started crying because you gave Bray Wyatt a memorial tribute. Good shit Dead Meat. Good shit. I love that the WWE and AEW are represented alongside horror Edit: Holy Shit I found more of them. Thanks for making me famous
  • knowing that the land monsters in meg 2 were played by dudes in blue suits holding giant blueberry sticks makes me really happy
  • @TellItAnimated
Finally had time to watch this, amazing work guys! So many films I loved were included and so many films I need to watch still. :)

i cant wait for the day they make the Dead Meat Awards a live in-person event open to fans to purchase tickets to be a part of the audience in a theater and there's a red carpet and shit. I know it would require SO MUCH more effort and people, but I have confidence that Dead Meat crew can make it truly successful (edit: it'd be awesome if they make the red carpet look all bloody xD)

Seeing Windham Rotunda on the In Memorium montage was unexpected and greatly appreciated. He loved horror like so many of us do and did everything he could to bring the genre to a new audience.

the Windham Rotunda tribute hit me hard. for those who don't know, Windham Rotunda, better know by his kayfabe name, Bray Wyatt, was a WWE wrestler who incorporated a lot of horror into his performances, both in the ring, and on the microphone. he was an amazing actor and wrestler. he terrified a lot of us as kids, and he awed us as we grew up. from the eater of worlds to the fiend, his characterwork was some of the best ever in the industry. I, and many others, will forever miss him.

I just absolutely adore the role Dead Meat has made for itself in the horror genre as a whole. Seeing the channel's growth since 2019 has been nothing short of amazing.
  • When Evil Lurks gets extra respect because they pulled off such horrific scenes without terrifying the kids (and even making it fun for them, from what I hear) Good shit
