What also helps: taking time to take care of your hair and your face. Often times i dont like my clothes because i need a haircut, or havent worn makeup in a while.

Documentation is KEY!!! You suddenly have this concrete information how you look, what you wear most, plus can judge new pieces against how you would add it into existing outfits you wear and love đ§Ą

#2 is so important! I use this in order to declutter. If something is a "meh" item, I force myself to wear it. If i don't feel good in it this day I know why I don't reach for it and can finally let go. In theory, I liked many of my clothes but not when I actually wore them. In reverse, the best indicator for a piece to keep is when I forget what I'm wearing because I don't constantly fidget or check myself in the garment.

I am pear shape and I have come to the same conclusion about bottoms, having fewer but better fitting bottoms takes the stress out of dressing and I can go to town on the top.

I love wearing dresses, sundress floral dresses. And Iâm not tired of the silhouette of my dresses but the print, like Iâve worn the same thing over and over again. So I keep buying dresses, and like years later I might rotate back to old dresses. Thatâs my problem haha

i thought this was going to be a video about having âbasicsâ and âclassic piecesâ . iâm glad i watched all the way til the end â€ïž

I once took on a bet from a colleague who challenged me to wear a different outfit to work (I was a teacher back then) for an entire year. I have a reasonably sized wardrobe and probably could do a good old cull now and again so I took up the challenge and I did it. Even if it was different shoes or a different cardigan or jacket ... it's worth thinking about and I realised that I was able to wear everything in my wardrobe without buying anything new ...

My style uniform is a high waisted skirt (of all lengths) with the shirt tucked in, often with a belt of some sort. After spending years in pants, I'm going full comfort mode!! Bike shorts or colorful tights under my skirts. I feel so cute! And also no overly tight/pinchy/uncomfortable pieces. It has rlly made a difference

My favourite outfit recipe: a t-shirt (usually men's đ), a pencil skirt and trainers. Professional enough for work, easy to run around in, and comfy enough for me to be myself. It looks great on my size (5 2ish) and figure (size 16, hourglass) and it's suuuuuuper easy to mix and match! Everything I need and doesn't take much brain power. †The fun for me comes in with accessorising đ I've never met a novelty bag I didn't love, colourful tights and I'm a jewellery maximalist!

As a pear-shaped body myself, I find A-line skirts and dresses are the easiest and best way to dress myself. Pants are so hard to find, especially ones that suit my whole wardrobe. New sub, hi there!

This video helped me realise what my dream style is. I looked through Pinterest board and noticed flowy dark maxi skirt on each of them. I have very few clothes and they are hand me down but still I own and wear maxi dresses mostly. On colder days I wear jeans with black rock style or khaki military style T-shirt.

Great idea to dress for your most challenging features! As a curvy girl with a super long torso itâs incredibly difficult and frustrating to find bottoms that fit- I never thought to start with the bottoms when putting an outfit together! Will definitely try!

It's so funny that the minute I saw your vĂdeo I thought ''I need that pink cardigan'' đ„ș

I definitely agree with just the title of this video, I find styling creatively the clothes you already have is key to have infinite outfits đ
-
Great idea! What works for me is wearing items that I get compliments on. I wear my favorite things and then I take notes and what is complimented on itâs very interesting.
-
Wow..this was actually really helpful! Love the tips..more often than not we donât consider body types when weâre pinning outfits.
-
Great video! I brought a uniform on a vacation recently and it made everything (packing and dressing) so much easier. I canât wait to apply this to my everyday life.

Katie Louise, this video is SO good! YT algorithm suggested you and I'm so glad it did. I noted down all the steps and will be using them as I distill my wardrobe even more (I've been releasing a lot of clothes recently after years of hanging on to them, feels so good!). I loved all the images you showed us, really helps a lot. Thanks! Look forward to more videos.

I definitely agree with documenting your fashion that way you can make tweaks and adjustments in finding your true style!

I was really struggling with finding my style & going through YouTube. I just want to say that this video genuinely helped me especially when I am trying to prioritise comfort over anything else. Thank you so much!
