JJ always came through for both Thelma and Michael when needed.

JJ may have been a goofball sometimes but when it came to standing up to James, he wasn’t goofy a bit and I think that even Thelma was amazed at the way her big brother stood up for her!

Today James Evans would be considered a "BROKE DUDE" and most women would NEVER give that Brotha a shot. Yet he was a family man always grinding with character & growth

The 1st time JJ was prepared to get that azz whumpin' without fear.

JJ was always scared shittly of his father but this is one of the few times I seen him stand his ground against James, feel confident in what he said and the points he made, and defended his sister without disrespecting anyone. He even acknowledged that his fathers points were valid because he is head of the household but still defended his sister. I thought that was beautiful.

I thought this was the last time we were going to see J.J. alive.

Man this was the era of when parents told the children "when i want your opinion I'll give it to u!"

@2:20 Thelma and Florida's reaction and James saying "What" after what J.J. said gave me the same feeling. I applaud J.J. for sticking up for Thelma👏👏
  • 1:05 beautiful moment between mother & daughter! 🥰 especially when Florida touches Thelma's chin: and says; "and just look at that face" 😊 So Swee

I absolutely missed " James Evans" when he left the show !! I understand his point of view but J.J. makes a good point too !! Even though he was about to "Die" I was proud of J.J. for speaking his mind !! 👍
