You single-handedly convince me every video about the importance of having an architect involved on a home renovation... loved it!

I'm a huge fan of your conversions. It's amazing how you manage to open up the space while also keep the character and charm of the original intact. IMHO the latter is what truly sets you apart on another level. You don't just rearrange everything but keep and enhance as much as possible. Also, I really loved this bigger space which shares a similar theme in terms of space restrictions.
  • Iโ€™ll hit the like button before watching the video because I know Iโ€™m going to love it. ๐Ÿ˜Š

That glazed kitchen and courtyard is INSPIRED and truly transformational! Kudos to you, Gemma. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  • Hello Gemma. I follow you from Australia. I love reading, watching, learning about tiny homes and reimagining difficult spaces. Here in Australia, in suburbs close to the city, we have beautiful large old buildings in lovely established gardens. I am always so disappointed when they just pull them down and build another uninspiring block of 26 units. So unsustainable and huge carbon footprint. I wish I could buy them and employ you to transform the building, with clever extensions, to make multi generational and purposeful apartments - for single people, couples or families. This way the vernacular of the areas is not lost, or architectural history is not lost and building are reused and repurposed. I just see how this makes sense but itโ€™s always about economics and profit. Anyway, I love what you do and am always sooooo excited to see another one of your designs. You are just wonderful.

Hold my calls, new GWA video just dropped
  • Stunning transformation! I love everything but the 3 sided courtyard and the kitchen are a dream!

Gemma doing her magic yet again! Thanks for sharing!

Lovely to see you again, Gemma, I've been missing you! I suppose this means you've been keeping busy, though, so all's well. This is a complicated puzzle that you solved with your usual grace, bringing in spaciousness and light to open up the original poky plan.
  • All your films are stunning. Thank you for continuing to share so unselfishly - your work opens my eyes and educates me, for which I am very grateful ๐Ÿ‘
  • What another fantastic artistic solution to a tricky space. I find your videos fascinating and although I am quite a visual person, I lack the imagination required to transform existing room positions. Thank you so much for sharing.

This is a phenomenal design - really a beautiful transformation! It combines a modern and very practical layout while keeping the character of the original house! I am always so amazed by your designs! Really lovely work!

My first impression was: This is a nightmare to even navigate never mind succeed but succeed you did, Gemma. And this was a brief this time. Hope your client loves what you came up with. [Personally not sure about wanting a tub in a bedroom - all that steam and condensation for one thing].
  • @U2BearCat
I really like how you use windows in staircases to frame views to the outside almost as if it is a painting.
  • @lz738
What a stunning home! I hope I can hire you to design my dream home some day! It's important to me to have a light-filled home and you are amazing at designing with that in mind.

Stunning work Gemma! I am an urban planner from Germany and always very inspired by your work, also the principle of transforming the old and existing with precise modern interventions applies well to urban spaces too. In one of the current projects i am working on there are some small houses that used to be attached to the old city wall, and i believe your designs have opened my eyes so much to see a lot of potential in these. Thank you for your amazing contributions to a new way of building! You are truly a spatial genius. Much love <3
  • You just keep getting better and better, Gemma. Thank you for sharing you working adventures.

What a light-filled dream of a house. Amazing how dysfunctional it was before, but then along comes Gemma to transform it into this entire environment of spaces that provide peace, privacy, and ample socializing. Bravo again! I love the idea of bringing the garden closer into the view of the inhabitants via the courtyard, and the creation of the courtyard. Itโ€™s so beautiful and I hope the family is happy there. Iโ€™ve commented on this design before, but just viewed the video again, and there was just so much more to admireโ€ฆ this design keeps growing on me. If I had a house to redesign I would hire you in a heartbeat.
