4:15 That isn't the Steam version's fault. Spore has been crashing in the creature stage ever since it first released on disc.

Fun fact I learnt obsessively playing cell stage: you can actually pack the spikes at maximum tightness by first expanding your body as large as it goes, then shrinking them and getting them as close as possible, then finally, shrinking the body and making the spikes your desired size and pointiness

As an enjoyer of the Space Stage, the final part of this video was hard to watch because my tears kept making my clown makeup run.

The proper way to play Spore is to play until the space stage and then load up Stellaris.

I really don't understand how we haven't gotten a Spore 2 yet. Spore is one of the greatest games from my childhood, and for many others too. It's such a unique game, with a formula that could be expanded SO MUCH with a modern release.
