  • “Red in the face, blue in the hat” such an accurate description of Schneider 😂
  • Jomboy has good lip-readings, but the clap-reading is what makes his videos truly exceptional.
  • @derrik-bosse
The lip-readings, especially the fan ones, have me crying. "Absolutely blocked the plate."
  • @RicanRito
That catcher was robbed. That was INCREDIBLE footwork.
  • Twins fan here… Rocco never gets upset like this in front of cameras. The best part that Bally Sports edited out of the postgame interview is when he said the call was “chickenshit” 😂
  • @qwerwer429
The best part about this is that Rocco never flips out like this😂 he always is so calm and collected

As a former catcher, this is an excellent breakdown. If I got ran during this play or called for obstruction then I’d be butthurt af because this is 100% legal. This same rule exists in most leagues for younger players and I would’ve handled this the exact same way as Sanchez at every point during my playing time.

I feel like Rocco is watching this on repeat just telling himself “I knew I was right” repeatedly

I was at this game and i told my parents "Lets see what Jomboy has to say about this one." Unreal. As a Twins fan I've never seen Rocco lose his composure like this.

They should really have whoever it was that made the overturn explain their rationale just so the players have an idea of what they're supposed to be able to do and what they have to avoid doing in order not to have the calls overturned. Maybe they thought the catcher could have stepped up the line to make the catch instead of going straight over and into the basepath, but that's just a guess.

It’s actually so insane to me how much literal daylight robbery occurs in baseball
  • @abssch
It’s amazing watching how fast the catcher makes small adjustments with his feet. Professional athletes indeed.
  • @SG-jm7np
Throughout his MLB playing and managing career, I don't think I have ever seen Rocco that pissed.
  • @420
    1. What an absolutely beautiful and on point throw. 2. The catcher caught that fair and square and did a damn good job.
  • @bryanp.1327
Mad props to the umps not throwing him out. For once, they agreed!
  • @edwrek
I love listening to everyone in the MLB talk about something that has happened in a game for days and then watching the Jomboy breakdown where he ACTUALLY shows what happened
  • @Verlisify
Wow. The slow mo shows how great of a catcher play that was,
  • @amahana6188
All us tired dads feel you Rocco. Especially on leftovers night.

Awesome breakdown. Has camera angles of this play I haven't seen before. IMHO, Sanchez left Merrifield a lane on the outside. But as Merrifield said, "Put my head down first couple steps then looked up and tried to figure out how to get into home plate and saw Gary straddling home plate so tried to just slide into him, straight into him best I could. I know what the rule is, it was just a matter of if they were going to call it.” Fact 1: The ball beat Merrifield to the plate. Why is this ignored by the replay crew? Fact 2: Sanchez set up inside the plate. Fact 3: There still was a way Merrifield could have tried to slide around Sanchez on the outside. It seems the runners are gaming the rule by intentionally trying to slide into the catcher, just the opposite of what the rule intended.
