“His speech was so tone deaf. There was little Democrat support."

Netanyahu’s address to the US congress was not met with a huge level of democrat support, says Hilary Rosen. "Israel's got a problem", she tells #TimesRadio.

  • It’s perfectly possible to support peace for Palestine without being pro-Hamas. It is perfectly possible to criticize the attacks by the armed forces without being anti-Semitic.
  • Netanyahu doesn’t care about medium term issues like U.S. aid. He is always focussed on the politics of the next few days and weeks.

I saw the vast majority of the US political leadership give Netanyahu standing ovations so the claim it was a failed speech is really just people who hate him/Israel/Jews looking for a way to make themselves feel better about the weakness of their political support in the US.

Didn't get little democrat support since half of them didn't attend before the speech was delivered

Funny when she said the US is a centralist country. Too an outsider its very much a conservative country.
  • the pied piper of tel aviv could only deceive the most naive but sadly that was the majority of people in the land of the free whose boys and girls were sent sadly to die for a cause that was unworthy and the piper he danced away with glee and never did he pay the smallest fee +_)(*&^
  • Hi stuffy Brits, I'd hate to correct your grammar. it's "Democratic" support, not Democrat support. A noun does not conjugate another noun.
  • But will J D Vance remove his beard, and replace Trump? Just asking questions. 🙃
  • @JoshRomeo-n4r
I will vote trump. Funny how all Arab nations don't want Palestine.

It was moving speech for both my wife and I as progressive independent voters in California. Solidified our support for israel. Saw plenty of democrats clapping for him.

Netanyahu has 40% Democratic support, almost 100% Republican support, and the majority of independents. Netanyahu can do what he wants in Gaza and the USA will support him.
  • Netanyahu didn't start the war, Hamas did but all the pressure is on him and everybody is pussyfooting around Gaza and Iran. If anyone is deaf it's you. The Democrats can do what they like, the American people by a far majority support Israel and the Republicans. What do you propose to do when Hamas' stated goal is to repeat Oct 7 over and over again. Even if Israel withdraws this minute, do you think it will bring peace? I'm tired of listening to critique from every direction and no viable and sustainable suggestions
