I went on this 2 years ago. You get weighed by the total amount of riders before going on to ensure your vehicle operates the way its supposed to. It was so awesome!!!!

Anyone remember trying to build one of these rides in Rollercoaster Tycoon and realizing quickly how "flying" they can be?

cries in Efteling Rest in peace Bob, you brought us much joy and even more pain in the knees <3

They should make fake wheel tracks that look like one sled flew off the edge 😂 really mess with them

Thanks for posting! I live 10 minutes from Knoebels and I can confirm this ride is as cool as it looks in the video!! 👍 Also, for those of you who don’t know, Knoebels is FREE to park and walk around. You only pay if you ride the rides, so when the description says only $3.50 to ride, they mean it!

Those wooden track pieces look beautiful! Must have taken a long time and a lot of craftsmanship to make all that.

Six Flags Great Adventure used to have something like this. Looking back it kind of scared me because it had no real safety systems. And how the ride behaved could be influenced by passenger weight.

The flying turns in Knoebels is the only coaster of it's kind in the world. My family and I ride it every summer. The video doesn't do it justice. You feel like you're going very fast and feel like you're going to tip over on the turns. It's amazing.

Knoebels is my childhood. Absolute nostalgia especially the fact that its an old timey amusement park, because it is old! This ride is great, and check out the park if your ever in PA! And ya i think this ride was built in like the 20's too

I’ve ridden this!! It was awesome! Knoebels was one of the best amusement parks I’ve ever been to! Clean and well kept, cool and interesting rides like this, and friendly employees. Definitely would go back!

The part at the end where you see the other car go by is PERFECT

Flying turns had all kinds of problems getting completed. It is documented quite well on the internet. Apparently test runs of the original track layout yielded undesirable results. So the opening was delayed while the track was rerouted. I remember going to Knoebels and seeing this thing sitting there closed. A few seasons it remained SBNO. When it finally opened I was able to get on it. It is a pretty neat and unique ride.

Kind of glad this hit my recommended. Went to this park when I was little (maybe 7 or 8) and had a blast but barely remember the rides themselves. Would go back and check this out, PA has some great little gem parks with decent rides

Why isn't there more of these around? 🙂👍🏻

I waited for this ride to open for over a decade and it was worth it! Also, I go to Knoebles every year with my family. You can camp at their campground, enter the park for FREE, and all the prices are beyond reasonable. Highly recommended!

I rode the Knoebels one shortly after it opened. It took them many years to build it and to get it just right. It's not an extreme thrill ride, but it's lots of fun and certainly a unique experience! I love that park :)
