Speaking last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, comedian Jon Stewart talked about Dave Chappelle’s controversial SNL monologue, as well as accusations of antisemitism levelled against him for defending Palestinians.
Chappelle’s recent monologue sparked accusations against the US comedian of “normalising antisemitism”.

I was called anti-semitic for raising the same problem, Israel's treatment of Palestinians. They didn't know I am Jewish. Jewish people should remember what being dehumanized means. And I have seen too many Israelis dehumanizing Palestinians.

Jon Stewart is an incredible guy -- he was almost the sole voice of sanity in this country for years. And it takes real courage to say what he's saying. He's earned my utmost respect.
