To find out what is using the power, press 'E' (as it says on the screen) to view detailed information. You can see what is producing power and how much (weather effects power production and the durability/state of the items). You can also see a detailed view of what is drawing power and how much. You can also get this info by holding the electricity tool and hovering the cursor over a junction - look at the right side of the screen to see your options. This also works on the water network (with the water pipe tool).

The orbital exchange pods will damage nearby structures on take off, so take a hammer if it lands nearby your buildings.

For the small battery, unfortunately 1M power is much less than it seems. 4k power consumption is 4k units per second, so at night with the solar panel off, the 1M storage would last for 250 seconds For water, I'd recommend an electric pump or ideally a water borer which uses a geyser which you have close to the base. Either of those would take 1k power

The higher the coziness the longer the buff. I think it caps out at 300 or 400 percent though.
