Mike puts so much effort into these lessons it is unbelievable and everyone here should appreciate it
-
I’ve always thought this was one of John’s best songs, such a beautiful composition
-
Mike is a musical treasure.

I loved this song the first time I heard it. But when I found out it was John writing about his mom it hit my deepest emotion. As with all Mike’s work he does a fantastic job breaking down this song and I look forward to trying to get it down - without choking up🙏🏻 Thanks Mike👍

Mike is such a considerate human, and a fantastic guitar tutor too. Thank you so much for everything Mike, you are so very much appreciated. 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

What a hauntingly beautiful song which was always my favorite Lennon tune. I have a cousin named Julia and this always reminds me of her! Thanks Mike for this wonderful lesson! 👍👍👏👏
-
Mike. Thank you for the effort of making this gem available.
-
Bless you Man for teaching all these songs and history to all of us.
-
Thx again for sharing the mystery of the Beatles. And I must say Mike, if you have been playing guitar for 60 years! Then you must have started playing when you were 2. You don’t look 50. Great job 👏🏻
-
The chord progression is SO John....he loved a descending melody line. Great job again, Mike!
-
Thanks a lot, Mike
-
Brilliant Mike!! That chord progression is another genius Lennon progression! It moves around so smoothly (edit: and beautifully) away from the intro key. Love this song.
-
Just when I think that I know how to play every great Beatle song, you blow my mind with another gem.
-
Just the opening phrase is magical poetry: Half of what I say is meaning… less. Before you even get to the original chord and melody structures. Thnx Mike for bringing this to life the way you have done w ALL their work! You have your own style of genius
-
Thank you Mike!
-
Excellent choice for a Beatles tutorial! One of Lennon's best.
-
just wanna say that Mikes taught me a ton of the Beatles songs and they're really good
-
Once you get the Travis picking down it really opens up a lot of songs. You do a great job of teaching the pattern here. The key is to concentrate on the alternating base notes and then incorporate that high string melody
-
Reminds me of Eric Bibb & " I hear the angels singing.". Lovely... thanks Mike.

one of my favorite beatles tune. still have my white album i bought in 68. thx Mike for picking Julia out.
