@10:17 Honestly the thing that bugs me more is when Science Fiction Movies/TV shows use the same “Everything was fine until ___ betrayed ___” trope. Like I love the Metroid games but it almost always happens whether it’s Mother Brain, the Galactic Federation or a Chozo Tribe. Given how Dread ended I’ll be shocked if the Galactic Federation doesn’t try to hunt/kill Samus. Guess we’ll find out when Metroid 6 gets released in about 20 years.

but.....the human registration act....captain america didn't want to be under any government's thumb because he felt like it would impede what it even means to be a superhero. meanwhile tony stark, the corporate shill, was happy to put the onus in other peoples' hands. in the comic series iron man becomes quite the villain.

Think I've been watching YT Barb for 8+ years now. My hazy memory includes the legendary run of MM levels, caca souls games (didn’t watch), one-offs like Returnal, the outta-nowhere Gungeon WR, hacks beyond count, hon hon hon, the GPW series, numerous good insights, some dumb observations (can't win em all), beard, bare chin, artwork, bloody tears, and through it all the omnipresent Amon Amarth of hairline. Favorite Barb was the guy that played MM and put asshole kaizo blocks at the end of long sections. Favorite videos...probably this recent SMB3 kaizo! The editing is fantastic. I might still get around to making a hack one of these days...if I do, I'll make sure it's good, and in the credits, you can be damn sure the inspirations are going to include Ba...Juzcook! Gottem
