Glen Campbell - Wichita Lineman - 07-27-2012
The Goodbye Tour
Ozark Empire Fair
Springfield, Missouri

The video is a little shaky at times because I didn't have a tripod. Where I was sitting I didn't have room for one. I did the best I could with what I had and so my hand got a little shaky at times. Hope that you enjoy these videos of Glen Campbell from his Goodbye Tour.

  • If that doesn't bring a tear to your eye your not Human.... RIP Glen
  • I love TJ Kuenster here, the keyboardist who had been with Glen since 1977. Have seen many a concert with TJ's big smile just groovin' with Glen and waiting for his time to strut his stuff. However, on the Goodbye Tour, he was always so serious and very aware of Glen's actions on stage. Translated: I got your back friend, and won't let you down. Also, notice how the crowd doesn't react negatively when Glen makes a mistake. Translated: We got your back Glen, and won't let you down. The man commanded respect through his music!
  • Glen's last solo here proves that musical genius is not of a human body and brain.....it is otherwordly, of the soul...and beyond. There should be no doubt.

God, that voice was still killer even at that later stage of his life.
  • Perfect pitch. It never left him. Incredible vocals.
  • Glen trusted in Jesus. He's now at rest playing for his Lord and Savior.❤️
  • It was amazing that he could play and perform as long as he did but I think in many respects that's what kept Him going. And most of his songs he still had Perfect Pitch when he sang
  • Glen Campbell the legend, his music will live on forever especially through his daughter Ashley and sons.. thank you for the years of wonderful music Glen.
  • This is actually a miraculous performance. For anyone who doesn't know, Glen C was suffering from Alzheimers during this tour so every performance was akin to walking a tightrope. Often, Glen looks over to his son for support. Sometimes his face seems to be saying "I've forgotten the next line! What the heck comes next?' Yet somehow his musicality pulls him through. He mistakenly cuts short the guitar solo first time round, but the band foillow him seamlessly. The solo goes as it should the 2nd time but Glen then loses his way a little vocally. Still his talent allows him to improvise a way back! Performing with a faulty brain, and still finding a way to express creativity and beauty in an ever diminishing mental world is utterly heroic. Watching this brings a tear to my eye.
  • Every guitar in the world cried when this amazing man left us. He was for sure one of the most amazing talants the world has ever known and for those of us to have been on this earth to have been so blessed to see and hear him live we are so fortunate. His talent was a national treasure.
  • A gift to play the guitar and sing has not gone wasted! God works in mysterious ways and made this man one of the world's best country singer! GOD BLESS! RIP. in God's house!
  • Tears in my eyes as I watch Glen take that second solo. He played better with Alzheimer’s than most people today. What a talent he was. He deserves more than he gets
  • Damn, his guitar skills were still totally intact as he was fading. He was an underrated guitarist.
  • No words. Just no words. The world has lost a one of a kind. In tears RIP Glen
  • @lordemed1
Amazing how Glen could still play and perform...God bless Glen Campbell and all those who knew and loved him.
  • Absolute legend! Met him when I was 7 years old on flight out of Tucson. One of the nicest people I ever met!
  • I was at this show and there was tremendous love in the audience for this great man... who could do no wrong.
  • It was so nice that everyone worked together to let Glen go out on top well-suffering from Alzheimer's. To all those that worked so to make Glens last show one of the best. Thank You and God speed Glen you left us with some great music.
  • One of the greatest songs ever written, and I can't picture anyone else singing it but Glenn. 💖 🎼🎸
