CAN WE APPRECIATE UNDERTALE’S WRITING FOR A SEC? It’s really funny how If you kill Flowey over and over again it actually doesn’t indicate you hate him, he’s killed you over and over again BEFORE too!…it only means you’re continuing to play with him. Accepting the terms and conditions of his game, and reassuring him of his opinion of how the world works, not making him think critically that there actually IS a different way to this “game”. His perception of violence and murder has been twisted and warped by his Time-travelling powers and trauma of literally helping his friend kill themselves and then Getting killed because of it. After the EVENT he was so scared and frozen because of the permanent CONSEQUENCE of his DUMB CHOICE that he trapped himself in a comfortable time-loop to the point of desperation, because he was that scared to step into the unpredictable territory. But once WE show up, a slim chance of re-doing the single mistake that ruined his life, which he thought he could NEVER undo, became more real than ever - with Chara back he won’t let his Best Friend go THIS time. He thought he killed his Best Friend by his own hands, by bringing them those buttercups, by going along with their plan…There’s no way that didn’t stick with him.. But now that Chara’s back…it’s like he never killed them! In fact, he’ll even kill them over and over and over, because THEN it never really mattered in the first place, because it doesn’t really matter in the long run now…Because that’s just how we play now!! Killing each other over and over again….. P.S. Not to mention He is THE most violent character while simultaneously being one of the few ones in the game to ALWAYS refuse hurting people PERMANENTLY once there is “no going back and redoing it all” option (ironic). I love Undertale it’s freaking great
