Love seeing the air sucked out of the commentary box and Hemming's mega dummy spit at 1:31:00 "I'm sick of it, I'm sick of seeing it year after year, time after time:" :)

commentary is hilarious, a fine representation of the 'Whinging Pom.' Once the lead gets out to 18 the sulking started. 24 points lead Commentary Says " They don't deserve that scoreline, because the effort the english team have put in." 46-16 good effort Poms. Funny thing is, in reality the UK tabloids would have called it what it was, a thrashing, and called for an public inquiry.
  • The kick by Lockear for Hayne try was incredible he kicked it so it rolled along ground not end over end allowing the easy force by Hayne... that was high skill.
  • Just love the pohme commentators there very consistent when it comes to wingin'

England typically outclassed by Australia yet again. Predictable outcome even before kick off to be fair. Very poor commentary crew riddled with lamenting for an over rated English team. Australia has the best rugby league team in the world.
  • Australia's kick passes are absolutely sublime, and a whole range of kicks, each one a thing of beauty

That was a funny comment where the English commentators said "we knew we were pretty superior in the forwards".....I am sorry but I didn't notice that.......

I think the English have the illusion that the English and Oz leagues are close in standard because they often win the World Club Challenge. They often forget to mention that it is played in the Oz off season. The Oz players are not match fit and sometimes players have left. If the sides were to meet mid or end of Oz season it would be a totally different story. The English side would seriously struggle to beat either state of origin side. Now that many English players play in the NRL they are getting much better and you can see that in the last world cup when they were coached by Wayne Bennett they almost beat a very good Oz side. But these commentators are embarrassing and they are fantasists to think a few heavy tackles is enough to knock Oz off their game. They are a step above the English...for now at least

Pommy commentators stroking each other in the booth ruined a good game.

What's particularly evident from this commentary and other games he has commentated on, is that Eddie Hemmings is the epitome of the one eyed pommie whinger. his quote "I'm sick of seeing it year after year, time after time"

Hilarious listening to the 'unbiased' English commentary. Gotta' give 'em credit, they wear their hearts on their sleeves.

I remember being at this game and at the start being quite optomistic for an England win... however it seemed to be the same old story. I will say the forward packs where about even on both sides but the backs where completely outmatched. possibly might have been different withouth the Shenton injury but i doubt it. After that the aussies exploited that side and England didnt know what to do by then. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere though.

This is by far the worst bias commentary I've heard in my life😅
