    Nice beta VCR! I have a older fisher beta VCR the VBS 7000 is what I have. Also the picture problem at 1:25 have you tried cleaning the heads? Cleaning the heads might fix that issue if not it is probably a capacitor or a head switching issue. Also a lot of these toploading VCRs had rec play switches like cassette decks have my Saba VR 6000 (JVC HR 3330) has those and they can cause issues with audio and video if they go dirty.

    Replace blue sanyo capacitors on servo board.
