Apple has had several updates since this video. If you are on iOS 16, from the Wi-Fi settings, tap the new "Edit" button and authenticate yourself, and you'll see a list of Known Networks, which are all of the hotspots you've saved to your iPhone or iCloud Keychain from your other Apple devices.

I always disable my wi-fi via the quick settings when I'm not at home but that's because it saves on battery life, wasn't aware about the vulnerably concerns about keeping the wi-fi on when it's not actually being used. Thanks for another informative video, Liron Segev.

I knew this intuitively a few years ago. I turn my wifi off my phone before walking out of the door. It is now a habit for me. I then turn it back on when I come back home. Good that you are sharing this video though. Thank you. Good job!

As someone who didn’t grow up in the Tech Age, I really needed to know these things. THANK YOU‼️
  • @YouTubeSelf
For iPhones if you go into the wi-fi settings “edit” is on the top right hand side, this will show you the networks you’ve connected to recently and you can delete the ones that seem appropriate. Hope this helps :)

Finally, someone that explains in way that is easy to understand. Thank you!

For years I have made it a habit to have things like WiFi and Bluetooth turned off. Not because of security so much(but it is a positive) but because if they are on when not needed, it drains the battery faster. One thing I like about my Samsung, are the Bixby routines. Mine is set to turn on WiFi at home, but as soon as I leave and the connection is broken(too far away) it turns WiFi off.

I don't use public Wi-Fi, and I always turn off my Wi-Fi when I'm leaving the house. I've learned a lot from watching your videos . Thank you for sharing.
  • Great advice for people who need to be "connected" all. the. time. I never use wi-fi outside of my home on my phone, unless at a close families place. Convenience. Kills. Period.
  • My first time viewing your channel. That is an excellent point you have just made here. It has never even crossed my mind. Thank you! 👍
  • Thank you Liron, you explained things so clearly and alert us so well. I really appreciate your advice - which I follow to the letter.

I either turn wifi off, or i have it connected to another (personal) phone :) Most sympathetic tech guy so far. You rock!
  • Hey Liron. Thanks for this channel. Bringing awareness to the general public is so important. I appreciate that you keep the integrity of the tech business as your main goal. Keep it up this awesome content. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦.

First of your videos I have watched but truly enjoyed this one! Thank you and great job presenting!!!
  • Thank you so much for this info! It's very useful and I am definitely going to follow your advice from now on!
  • I've always shut off WiFi when leaving home because sometimes the iPhone will struggle with "handing off" internet connection between WiFi and Cellular. Disabling WiFi before leaving home prevents this. Great to know it aids in increasing security too. Thanks!
  • Thanks so much for keeping us informed, Leon! I really appreciate you and your channel!!

Thank you so much, Liron, for this info and well presented too. I could mostly follow what you said, despite me being non-techie, although I will have to watch again to get it to sink in. Just subscribed.

Thank you for the video! Some questions: 1. As a student who connects to the school wifi on my laptop during lectures, is that risky? 2. Are you safe being on wifi if you live in an apartment? 3. How about hotel wifi that you need your unique guest password for? 4. Do you need your VPN on constantly at home?
