Minecraft Bedrock Edition's mobile controls have always been a touchy subject in the community, because no one can seem to decide what needs to actually be added... or can we? When I put out a post looking for the community's BEST MCPE control ideas, many of the top comments discussed the idea of a Minecraft touch controls customization update. There were also some suggestions for new Minecraft Pocket Edition buttons, like an F5 button. This video discusses tons of potential new mobile control updates for Minecraft PE, all over some Hive Skywars gameplay and some Minecraft RTX cinematics.

    If there ever is gonna be an option to hide a button when they aren't in use, I think there should be a transparent outline around the icon with the rest of the button invisible, to hopefully prevent mis-inputs, its better than to have the buttons completely disappear and still would definitely help with visibility.

    There are problems with touch controls, but no matter how good they get, they're still limited by touch screens being unreliable at hardware level. Like, sometimes you tap the screen and it doesn't detect your tap, which is infuriating while doing parkour, to this day I have never been able to do it on touch.

    I think a toggle on/off the new button in the setting can solve the cluttered screen, if people don't like it just turn it off, some of the new button that won't be uses too much like swap to offhand and change control scheme can be place next to the pause button (:
  • I would like to see the "pick block" button and the "change perspective" button be added to the game it well be useful šŸ‘šŸ¼
  • I use the old controls because iā€™ve been using them for a while now and Iā€™m used to them also i wouldnā€™t want to get used to a whole new control setting. This wouldnā€™t be a big change but itā€™d help alot for pvp and Iā€™d want toggle sprint on the old controls and I feel like this would help pvp alot

    I don't need all that I JUST NEED A CUSTOMIZABLE HUD like you can place the buttons in different places of your screen

    As a Minecraft PE a player for around 7 years now, I have gotten used to the old controls, so I have a bias towards them both because of the nostalgia and because Iā€™m used to using them. I can see the appeal of the newer controls, and I admit that they are arguably more useful than the old ones, and that they are are more usable and more appealing compared to the older controls.

    I think they can add the custom control like some fps games ,its so cool if you can play 3-4 fingers on ur phone or ipad
  • That 'hold to attack continuously' is actually already a java feature in the combat snapshots, but it is balanced because there is a cooldown and a slight penalty for doing it - when holding to attack, it won't charge to 200%, which is the level needed for sweeping attacks and knockback attacks on the combat snapshot.
  • Think about it, the clutter wouldn't really be bothering, especially for the ones who play java on mobile (pojavlauncher) because some have so many buttons on their screen.
  • Just to put it out there, pick block is not only restricted to just PC on bedrock edition, even though you donā€™t start with it bundled you could bind it to something. Overall pretty good video and Minecraft/Mojave should definetly add this.

    You could solve the button cluttering problem just by having an option where you could adjust the transparency of an individual button just like in codm. That's why having the ability to customize the buttons to your liking will be very much appreciated.

    maybe they could add a "misc" button that can open a little slide-out menu with all the extra buttons like camera controls and toggles for hotbar visibility n stuff probably
  • 7:43 buttons can be made to fade a bit by increasing their transparency while not being used

    They should also add an sensitivity option in which we can switch between speed acceleration and fixed sensitivity
  • A way to add buttons w/o cluttering the screen would be a drop down menu, you can move them out of there if you want them permenantly on the screen. But it will be primarily used for less often bottons like the perspective button, controller swap etc) Another great one would be to add a gyro function. Not only is it a lot smoother to aim with, it doesnt require you to claw
  • 6:00 As an amateur mobile player, I think the ability to be able to Jumpbridge on all the mobile controls would be awesome, it would make it fair for all control schemes to be able to do the thing that all versions can. Also the perspective button and the drop button( 5:21) would also make sense

    Adding size munipilation to individual buttons, the ability to disable the other buttons from being in the screen and instead of making them completely be invisible, they just become more transparent might help
