This is where you have to admit that you lost not because you weren't good enough but because they were too good

This literally made me cry. I can’t even imagine the total hours of blood, sweat, and tears that went into this performance. Possibly the most deserved gold medal in Olympic history.

Winning an Olympic gold medal at your fifth Games, with your third partner, after two disappointing bronzes, at age 34, despite being in 4th after the short program. Legends only

He throws her around like a rag doll but places her down like a glass vase

I can’t believe people can actually do this, it’s so beautiful

Skating is one of the few events where people don’t care who you’re competing for, they just appreciate a great performance regardless of where the competitors are from.

He throws her so easily. My soul would've left my body if someone threw me like that and expected me to land. 😂

This is THE BEST all time pairs free skate I have ever seen. They have so many unique elements, and that final lift sequence where somehow it looks like he is not even holding her, and the crowd gasps at something like that they have never seen before...unless of course, you saw them performing this program in the Grand Prix and other events. It's just stunning. Extremely well deserved. And all the other pairs programs years later pale in comparison.

Never has there ever been a more perfect performance at the Olympic Games. Years later, this still tears me up .

I'm so mesmerized with the physics behind this, can't believe people could actually do this.

If there is a routine to describe Paired Ice Skating this is it . This routine was absolutely flawless , no other word can describe it . Everything was perfection . Starting with the music , the wardrobe which suits exceptionally with the PyeongChang decor , the mid celebration when she realised she landed one of the hardest jumps in history … I watch this every year , I am 23 and I still cry like a child when I see it .There is no other gold medal in Olympic Games more well deserved then this one . Sheer perfection.

Imagine how proud they are of each other and themselves

Am I the only one obsessed with this video? Like I've been rewatching this for the past year
  • I have no words for this. It wasn t just figure skating at Olympics ,it was the purest form of art

Honestly, I come back to this performance every couple of months, it truly never ceases to amaze
