Shannen Doherty Dead at 53

This one hurts…. She died without ever losing hope. Rest in peace, Shannen.

She fought so hard. Her daddy and Luke were waiting to welcome her. May she rest in peace

It’s upsetting that nobody in Hollywood gave her work despite her diagnosis. A shallow industry. RIP Shannon.

This brought me to tears. I lost my beautiful wife of 40 years due to this horrible disease 17 years ago and have still not got over it.

I know exactly what she is saying. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995. God blessed me that I didn't have any chemo chemo or radiation. Every year since my surgery I have been cancer free. I continue to praise God

Poor love. She fought so hard to keep going. She was courageous to share her experience. Lots of women need that encouragement.

I met her last year. We talked about my cancer and treatment. I thanked her for helping me through my journey. I was looking forward to catching up with her next month. She fought hard and fought for a long time. May she rest in power.

I grew up in the era where 'movie stars' were chosen for roles oftentimes because they were so naturally beautiful i.e. Elizabeth Taylor, Gene Tierney, etc. The one thing that always stuck me about Shannen Doherty (unlike so many today) was that she was extremely naturally beautiful. She would have held her own in the stars of yester-year. Rest in Peace dear girl and condolences to your beloved mom (& family).

In her battle with cancer, she transformed into the embodiment of a warrior. A true loss for all of us.

53 is still so young and I’m saying this as a 23 year old. My mum is 53 and this has reminded me to give her a call and tell her how much I love her. Life is so short. Rest in peace. 🕊️ ❤

I rarely comment on anything “Hollywood” but this woman was such a fighter and inspiration to so many battling cancer! RIP

My mom had breast cancer just like Shannen, and she was at stage 4 but never told anyone. She had a great sense of humor and often entertained the doctors during her chemo appointments. She had a strong will to live, to keep fighting, and she fought very hard but sadly lost the battle to breast cancer on January 21, 2017 at the age of 52. She’s been gone 7 years now but I’ll always remember her great sense of humor, her smile, her laughter. Shannen, you were taken too soon but you’re now at peace. Rest in peace.

She’s my favorite sister on Charmed and I always loved her character in 90210. She’s brought magic to the screen and she will be greatly missed. I hope she is reunited with her heavenly family now. May she RIP 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️.

My mom died at 49. As a 16 year old I didn't realize how young she was. So sad to lose Ms. Doherty at 53. May she rest in peace.

At 49, my mother passed away. I was 16 at the time and had no idea how young she was. Such a tragedy, Ms. Doherty was only 53. Peace be with her as she rests.

"We only die once. We live every day." Truer words could not have been said more. At least she went out with a bang. May Shannen rest in peace😥
